I would like to give birth at an Air bnb in Winston Salem. I had gave birth vaginally with my first child but had a c-section with my second because he breached himself so I want to be near a hospital in case something happens but would like to have a home birth this time. I’m not sure about my budget. Not sure if my insurance would cover some of the cost.

I’m looking for a doula who will help me during childbirth, help me understand how everything will happen and have a healthy, peaceful and amazing delivery.

I would like to do a home birth using Tricare insurance coverage upfront only. There is a possibility of postpartum/ night nurse assistance at a later time. Not entirely sure of a "plan" beyond that. Unfortunately, I'm not starting my journey where I'm ending, but attempting to get the ball rolling and start gathering some options to set up interviews when we have hard dates. I plan to give birth in a hospital. I am primarily looking for a doula to provide education to me and my husband and help advocate for a successful birth with only necessary interventions as they arise or as I request. I do not want to be in a birthing environment where I don’t understand the language or I am not familiar with optional vs required interventions from the medical team. Following birth I am looking for support with navigating post partum and breastfeeding as a first time mother.

I will be giving birth in a hospital. I am planning on a nondedicated birth. No interventions unless necessary and no induction. I haven't yet set a budget as I am not sure of the average cost of this service. If possible I would prefer a payment plan.

Hospitals NEVER listen to concerns or serious problems with me. I need help advocating for myself and understanding everything in a way that isn’t going off of a doctor’s lunch plans. A large example is my experience with severe birth trauma. My first daughter was an emergency C-section due to a car accident I was in. My 2nd daughter was meconium in utero and the doctor didn’t take my clotting disorder seriously to the point I nearly died. I was also put on a spinal block that took 45 minutes to work and it wore off completely before they even started the procedure but failed to document the horrific outcome. My 3rd daughter was planned as a VBAC and I was promised I’d get it, but the doctor claimed that being at 4cm for 1 hour “isn’t considered progressing” despite me still actively progressing and no distress or complications of any kind but she told me that I either get the C-section she pushed or she’d get my children taken from me if I didn’t comply. The spinal block didn’t work whatsoever and I was screaming in unimaginable pain but was told to “get over it” and to “stop being dramatic”. I assumed they gave me something to knock me out but they told me later on that they didn’t. I had remained unconscious for several hours because my body shut down from unnatural pain to that degree. I wasn’t even able to hear my daughter’s first cries. These concerns were brought to her attention prior and I told her she needed to put me under general anesthesia to do the operation but she blatantly refused. I later learned she went against EVERYTHING in my birth plan including my backup in case of a C-section because she “needed more experience”. Now I’ve gone through this pregnancy with extreme complications and have told them repeatedly about needing to be put under with general anesthesia but they aren’t working with me at all. I’m terrified of going through this again and no one seems to listen. They go off the notes of people who lied so they didn’t lose their jobs and it could VERY easily kill me this time due to my medical issues happening currently. I’m more terrified of them not listening and acting appropriately to the situation than I am at the thought of allowing myself to push during contractions and risk my uterus rupturing just to avoid that surgery going wrong AGAIN. I’m planning to give birth at Sister’s Charity Hospital in Buffalo. I need someone who’s covered by my insurance. I can give my birth plan when I match with someone. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!
