Colette Acker

About me

Colette is the Executive Director and founder of the Breastfeeding Resource Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping breastfeeding families. She was certified as an IBCLC in 1998. Colette is the recipient of the 2017 USLCA Award of Excellence. She is the third person in history to win this coveted honor. Colette works tirelessly to keep this small non-profit organization afloat, but still loves to work with families too!

Service introduction

Both in-person and virtual visits for pregnant and breastfeeding parents are available. The visits include a detailed health and breastfeeding history, observation of a feeding, as well as pre and post weight checks. A full plan is developed and shared with the family, the mother and baby's HCP. Follow up visits available as needed and quick questions through our HIPAA compliant portal are encouraged.
