Wanting an unmedicated hospital birth with the help of a doula.

I plan to give birth at St. Joseph's in College Station. I want to aim for an unmedicated birth, and I want to be very actively involved in the decisions made about any interventions suggested. It would be nice to have at least three meetings with any doula before the due date - I want to feel like I actually know the doula before having them present at such a vulnerable time.

We are looking for Doula, who could help us during the birth and after the birth in taking care of baby. we are first time parents and have limited knowledge. I plan on giving birth at St. Luke’s in the woodlands. I’m not sure what my budget is, I don’t know what the average cost is. I plan on giving birth naturally without an epidural and I am looking for support through an unmedicated birth. I would love a Christian doula if that is an option!

My due date is for 12/15 but the dr is already letting me know that we will be inducing around the week of 12/9 due to gestational diabetes (monitored through diest and exercise. No meds) I'm planning to deliver at Memorial on 290. I would prefer someone who has worked with Hispanic families, and/or speaks spanish.
