Wife and I are looking for a traditional style Chinese yuesao to provide postpartum care for our first child. We are both 34 years old. As this is our first, ideally this person would be able to teach us about newborn care and assist with postpartum recovery for both mom and child. Help with lactation support is also appreciated. Postpartum meals: Experience preparing herbal soups, tonics, bone broths, sesame chicken, ginger rice, etc. Years of experience: Min 5+ years and 10+ families served. Est budget: ~$8000
I plan to give birth at a hospital and am looking for postpartum doula support once I’m home. My budget is around $25–$40 per hour, depending on experience and services. I prefer a certified doula with at least 2–3 years of experience. Support with postpartum recovery, newborn care, and especially breastfeeding is important to me. I would appreciate help with soothing techniques, sleep routines, and general newborn guidance. Light household support such as meal prep, baby laundry, and light cleaning would also be helpful. Occasional overnight support is a plus. I’m looking for someone nurturing, reliable, and experienced to help make the postpartum transition smoother.
