I am very flexible in my birthing location. I would like to do a birthing center, but a hospital would be okay as well, if needed. I do want to be able to get an epidural if the pain becomes overwhelming. I am not sure on my exact budget, as I am not sure the average prices for a doula or midwife. I would also like someone who can help me develop a birth plan that aligns with my needs!
It’s my first pregnancy I want to give a home birth I want a advocate for me someone compassionate and caring and help guide me through my first pregnancy and after
I would prefer a natural birth, somewhere close to a hospital if something goes wrong. But not at home. We use BCBS Highmark and are hoping to just use that or send them itemized receipts.
doula for the birth of our kid this fall and budget 1,000
Looking to have my baby in the comfort of my home and free from the medical world, where I have to go back and forth with nurses and doctors about what I want for my child, I just want a quiet natural environment to bring my baby into. I’m not sure where to start looking and what the price is but at 15 weeks I know I have to start this journey of trying to find the right support.

Hi! My name is Karla. 😊 I'm 14 weeks pregnant with a baby boy, due January 13, 2027, and I'll be delivering at Natural Beginnings Birth & Wellness Center in Statesville, NC. This will be my first birth center birth, first unmedicated birth, and first time using a doula. I'm looking for an experienced birth doula who is comfortable supporting physiologic (unmedicated) births at a birth center and who provides hands-on comfort measures, pain-coping techniques, and breathing support. Before we go any further, could you please let me know: 1. Do you currently accept Healthy Blue Medicaid? 2. If not, would you be willing to become an in-network Healthy Blue Medicaid doula provider? From what I've researched, certified doulas can enroll through NCTracks, and the process is typically completed within 30 to 90 days (heavily dependent on state processing speeds via NCTracks). However, if you have everything you need before beginning the application process (professional liability insurance is generally recommended or required alongside an NPI and active NCID to safeguard your practice in addition to providing proof of your training certifications/significant work experience), it can be completed on the shorter side of that average time frame. 3. Is Natural Beginnings Birth & Wellness Center within your service area? If the answers are yes to #1 or #2 and yes to #3, I'd love to ask you a few more questions to see if we'd be a good fit. If not, I completely understand—just let me know so I can continue my search. Thank you so much! I look forward to hearing from you. ☺️
I plan to give birth in a hospital. My budget is $1000. I plan to give birth vaginally and was looking for someone that could help advocate for my wishes . I plan to give birth naturally with limited interventions and no vaccinations.
