I want to find someone who takes blue shield of california platinum ppo plan for as much of the care as possible. I want someone to come to the house and help with post-partum related needs. Ideally I would have a postpartum doula and/or night nanny three days a week for the first month or so, but I would want the care to be covered by insurance. I'm open to being flexible and figuring out how to best do that.

I plan to give birth at Scripps hospital in Encinitas. I am looking into insurance coverage for doula services but expect to pay some out of pocket obviously. My birth plan centers around flexibility. I am aiming for natural birth and utilizing different birth positions and coping skills. I've had a some trauma with needles and medical care when I lived in Haiti and got typhoid: makes me reluctant to get epidural but open if my headspace is bad. This is my first baby and I am 28 years old. Would prefer someone who is in their 30's or older. Bonus if faith-based. Looking for coaching through labor and helping with positive mindset.
