I really want to try to do this birth as natural as possible and is looking for someone who can provide the best support in that as possible. I’m looking for a provider who can give pain management positions and tools to help in a natural birth. I think having someone who can give my husband guidance as well would be helpful. I plan to give birth at Northwestern in Huntley, IL. My insurance gives doula coverage so I would love someone in the BCBS network.

Im trying to help my wife find a doula to help us through our first pregnancy. As of now we are unsure if she is wanting to go unmedicated for the delivery so we would need someone able to walk us through those decisions. She prefers that I (the husband) be the one to read all the books and stuff so I would need someone that is willing to work with me on these things so I can support her as best I can. We are thinking of an in hospital birth, due around May 4th. My insurance does cover a doula/ midwife so it might help if you can take insurance but I would be willing to pay out of pocket for the right person. We would also prefer an in person doula/midwife to help us in the delivery room.

We have a 3 week old baby boy, Mainly looking for an in person overnight support for us parents to get some sleep. Eventually we would like help with setting a sleep routine for our baby. we live in a one bedroom apartment and our current routine is that he sleeps in a pack n play bassinet in the living room, while parents take turns, aka "shifts," to watch baby for feeds, changings, soothing, etc. We would love to get help with letting us sleep for the first couple of visits, by watching, doing light baby chores (mainly washing bottles and pumps), and helping me create & stick with a nightly pumping routine. Then the next main focus would be helping us set a good sleep routine and move baby into his crib located in our room. We are interested in roughly 3 nights per week. From what I understand, my insurance covers 32 visits, and only 4 hours per visit. I may be willing to pay out of pocket to extend each visit to 6-8 hours per visit.

My husband and I are looking for someone to support us immediately following the birth of our first daughter. We are both unsure of infant care and could use someone to help us navigate the beginning stages of taking care of a newborn, while making sure we are also taking care of ourselves. We ideally would need over night and day time support, more so in the beginning, that may taper off over time. We also have 2 cats, and would be looking for someone who is comfortable around animals.
