How these prices are calculated

Prices are the rates night nannies and newborn care specialists list on their Bornbir profiles. Birth doula packages are left out, because they pay for labor support rather than nights. So are hourly rates under $15 or over $200, to leave out package prices entered as an hourly rate by mistake.

The Cumming figures count providers based within 150 miles once at least 5 of them list prices; below that the page shows Georgia or United States figures instead. Medians are the middle price, ranges the middle half of prices, and per-night costs assume a 10-hour shift. Figures recompute daily.

The cost of a night nanny in Cumming, GA can be influenced by several factors:

  • Experience and Qualifications

Nannies with extensive experience, certifications (e.g., newborn care specialist), or specific training often charge higher rates.

  • Number of Babies

Caring for twins or multiples typically costs more than caring for a single baby due to the increased workload.

  • Hours and Duration

Rates may vary depending on the number of hours per night, the total number of nights required, and whether the arrangement is short-term or long-term.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

Additional responsibilities, such as bottle preparation, light housekeeping, or sleep training, can increase the cost.

  • Time of Year

Demand during peak times, like the holiday season, may drive prices higher.

  • Agency Fees

Hiring through an agency often includes placement fees or additional charges for their services, adding to the overall cost.

  • Overnight Rates vs. Hourly Rates

Some nannies charge a flat overnight rate, while others charge hourly, which can influence costs depending on the length of the shift.

When considering hiring a night nanny in Cumming, GA, it's advisable to research and interview several night nannies to find one who aligns with your preferences, needs, and budget. During consultations, you can discuss their specific services and pricing structure to ensure you have a clear understanding of what is included and the associated costs. Lauren is amazing! She helped me build my birth plan and was able to bring her own experience and knowledge to help me make educated decisions. I ended up having to be medically induced early, and she talked through my birth plan with me again and helped me make adjustments. Day of, it was SO helpful to have her in the room to talk through decisions because the midwife was giving recommendations to change my birth plan, and it was so helpful to have a third party person who was educated in L&D to be able to talk this through with and come to the best conclusion for me. In the midst of giving birth, she was so helpful, attending to our every need. Because we had met ahead of time and she really took the time to get to know my goals and desires, she was able to advocate for me. I had precipitous labor, so things escalated quickly. At one point, my midwife asked me a question about pain meds that needed an immediate response. I was mid-contraction and unable to speak, but Lauren jumped in with no hesitation and communicated exactly what I wanted to say! She was also able to help keep my husband calm and engaged during our baby’s birth, and even he said he was so thankful Lauren was there with us! I would definitely hire her again and recommend her to anyone interested in hiring a doula!

Mislene was amazing. Her knowledge made me feel comfortable when making decisions during my labor and delivery. It gave my fiancé the confidence to be able to advocate for me in times I could not. We felt prepared and supported during my delivery and pregnancy. She was there to answer any of my questions and ask questions I would not have thought of at my doctor appointments as well. I would recommend her to anyone.
