I would highly recommend getting a doula to help educate you along your pregnancy journey especially Mislene she’s very knowledgeable and attentive to creating a peaceful environment for you while you’re getting ready for your upcoming delivery date and helped me prepare with my first baby I didn’t know what to expect or the different things to do to help ease your delivery. Until I met my doula I would encourage everyone to have her apart of their special moment welcoming your little one into this world!

As soon as I met Mislene, I knew she was the right fit for me and my birth. I immediately connected with her and felt comfortable. I loved that I could be myself and express my needs. She was knowledgeable from the jump and constantly empowered me and my decision making. She provided me with lots of education and techniques to help me progress. During pregnancy she was responsive and I felt supported knowing she was accessible. I had a few false alarms and she helped me navigate those until I was able to really know the real thing. The day I went into labor she came right away and made sure my labor environment was peaceful/ comfortable. She worked alongside the nurses/ doctors advocating and guiding me. The most memorable moment with her was when I started to panic when getting my epidural and she held me and helped me stay calm. Also, after my birth she visited me and helped me reflect on what all happened and checked on me and baby. I definitely recommend her and feel that her doula services made a difference. Mislene is AMAZING! I’m so blessed that she was sent my way. I felt truly seen and heard from prenatal care to postpartum. I knew going into my birth that I had someone on my team who not only understood my birth plan but was going to be my voice of reason when I needed it. She provided natural remedies for my pregnancy carpal tunnel, taught me so many poses and exercises that helped me get ready for the big day, always reassured me that I was doing amazing and that I got this! Mislene is honestly like family to me now. I’d recommend/review her any chance I get, because I truly appreciate what she has done for my family. She even recommended an amazing pediatrician that we still use today. Her energy is so nurturing and kind but she also knows when to be strong for you when you need it! My son was measuring 10 pounds and when I was burning him, my water broke and I had meconium in my water and then during birth we had shoulder dysplasia and I was so thankful to have Mislene there too assist and help keep me calm and also, she took pictures when my partner was able to step in once the baby was born. She was able to help me navigate laboring without an epidural and helped when I was having contractions and trying different positions and during the pushing process, she was there. I loved having her expertise to keep me calm and focused. Also helping my husband support me even more than he already was. I would recommend a Doula to everyone do not birth without a Doula!!

I asked for a doula very late in the game (I was about 30-32 weeks, I believe?) so everything was expediated. Despite that short time frame, I got so much knowledge from my doula. She asked some questions to my doctors that I forgot to but I was grateful for and they were based on our previous conversations about what I wanted in my birth plan. Mislene was very knowledgeable and informative during my Pregnancy journey. She helped us prep for birth and also create a birth plan by answering many of my questions and concerns. She helped to ease a lot of fears we had especially being new to the GA healthcare system. Mislene was also very gentle and kind.
