I plan to give birth at the hospital. My budget is $10,000, I would love a doula that works with insurances. My birth plan so far is, I want to go unmedicated if possible, I want a doula who can speak up for me when needed and know what to do, I have a hard time speaking up for myself, especially around medical people. I’d love support with education, emotional reassurance, and guidance during labor—especially someone who can explain what’s normal, help me stay calm, and provide encouragement and positive affirmations throughout. I’m really looking for someone who will help me feel safe, informed, and confident every step of the way. My birth preferences are a calm, supportive environment with clear communication about what’s happening and why. I’d like to be able to move freely during labor, try different positions, and have guidance with breathing and pain management. I’m somewhat open to medical interventions if necessary. I would also like continuous support, encouragement, and reassurance throughout the process. After birth, I’d prefer immediate skin-to-skin contact without cord clamping until cord is white, no wiping of the vernix and would like to skip all medicines and vaccines unless my child's life is in danger.
