Location: Lithonia, GA 30058, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: June 19, 2026
My pregnancy with my first child seven years ago was rushed and forced into a C-section. I’ve always known and felt something was wrong about the way that I had my first child but I am 16 weeks pregnant now more educated and I am looking to have a vbac , I was going the regular route by going to a ob but she has rubbed me the wrong way a few times and I want someone that is going to help me have my baby the natural way I can the first time around. I was robbed out of seeing my husband, cut the umbilical cord skin to skin and even breast-feeding. I know that I can do it and I do not want a doctor to force me to have a C-section if I do not need it just because I had one before that I did not need. I want to either be in contact with someone who can deliver my child for me or send me to providers that can support my decision. I did plan on giving birth at Northside Hospital. I do have Medicaid. I just want a natural birth that I am owed. |

Due date or baby's birthday: April 11, 2026
I am a first time mom looking to give birth at my home in a kiddie pool with my loved ones present. I am low risk. I would like to give birth as naturally as possible with no medications. I want to be in a gravity focused position and no inductions. No force tearing and when I deliver I would like the umbilical cord to be left uncut until it is white and I want to keep my placenta. Since this is my first time giving birth I would like a little assistance after delivery as in care tips and latching assistance ( I plan to breastfeed ). |

Delaney is looking for Postpartum Doula, Birth Doula, Lactation Consultant
|
Location: Temple, TX 76501, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: November 20, 2026
My name is Delaney Coleman, I’m 29 years old and pregnant with my first baby. I found out on March 28 that I am pregnant, and I am excited and nervous. Depending on cost, I’ll probably end up giving birth at a hospital, but my ideals line up more with midwifery/birthing center processes. My estimated budget is probably no more than $500 if that is even possible. I don’t know the general charge for a doula, but I would love a very experienced one who can advocate for me and my husband when we are stressed out and vulnerable at and after the birth. I would like a physiological, uninterrupted birthing experience. Cervical checks are not needed unless there is a medical emergency. My water will break naturally. I do not consent to manual rupture unless absolutely necessary. I will push when and how my body tells me to. I do not want coached pushing unless I ask for guidance. Hands-off approach during pushing unless I request support. Warm compresses only if I ask. I will choose the position I give birth in. Low lighting and minimal noise in the room. Cord clamping should not be done until the cord is white and no longer pulsing. The placenta will detach and deliver on its own. Up to one hour after birth is normal and safe. After one hour, if there are medical concerns, intervention may be necessary. No cord traction, pitocin, or medications to speed placenta delivery unless there is an emergency. Immediate skin-to-skin after birth. No separation from my baby unless medically necessary. All procedures and medications for my baby must be clearly explained beforehand. I want uninterrupted bonding time after birth. We would NOT like any Vitamin K to be given to our daughter or heel pricks done, unless she is born by vacuum, forceps or cesarean My husband or myself will cut the cord I would prefer if nobody was to take or hold my daughter unless there’s a medical emergency This is what felt right and safe for me and my body. Every birth is different this was simply my choice. I do have Tourette Syndrome, which I can go into further detail about with my future doula. I am predisposed to potentially have twins (runs in my family, has always been fraternal twins). Any other duties would probably simply be to help me prepare for baby and help me possibly with some lactation consulting. Otherwise, I have some family members who can come over the first bit and help with household chores if need be. Unfortunately, due to my insurance type, I am not sure what will be covered in care, so the lowest charging with most experience doula is right up my alley! I don’t really know how this goes. |

My birth is supposed to take place in Waco at Baylor Scott and White-Hillcrest but I live in Temple, Tx! |

Hospitals NEVER listen to concerns or serious problems with me. I need help advocating for myself and understanding everything in a way that isn’t going off of a doctor’s lunch plans. A large example is my experience with severe birth trauma. My first daughter was an emergency C-section due to a car accident I was in. My 2nd daughter was meconium in utero and the doctor didn’t take my clotting disorder seriously to the point I nearly died. I was also put on a spinal block that took 45 minutes to work and it wore off completely before they even started the procedure but failed to document the horrific outcome. My 3rd daughter was planned as a VBAC and I was promised I’d get it, but the doctor claimed that being at 4cm for 1 hour “isn’t considered progressing” despite me still actively progressing and no distress or complications of any kind but she told me that I either get the C-section she pushed or she’d get my children taken from me if I didn’t comply. The spinal block didn’t work whatsoever and I was screaming in unimaginable pain but was told to “get over it” and to “stop being dramatic”. I assumed they gave me something to knock me out but they told me later on that they didn’t. I had remained unconscious for several hours because my body shut down from unnatural pain to that degree. I wasn’t even able to hear my daughter’s first cries. These concerns were brought to her attention prior and I told her she needed to put me under general anesthesia to do the operation but she blatantly refused. I later learned she went against EVERYTHING in my birth plan including my backup in case of a C-section because she “needed more experience”. Now I’ve gone through this pregnancy with extreme complications and have told them repeatedly about needing to be put under with general anesthesia but they aren’t working with me at all. I’m terrified of going through this again and no one seems to listen. They go off the notes of people who lied so they didn’t lose their jobs and it could VERY easily kill me this time due to my medical issues happening currently. I’m more terrified of them not listening and acting appropriately to the situation than I am at the thought of allowing myself to push during contractions and risk my uterus rupturing just to avoid that surgery going wrong AGAIN. I’m planning to give birth at Sister’s Charity Hospital in Buffalo. I need someone who’s covered by my insurance. I can give my birth plan when I match with someone. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! |
