I am waiting for approval from my Dads insurance company to do a home birth. My estimate is 2 grand but I’m not sure where to start with budgeting. I’m only 12 weeks with my first and don’t have a plan yet.

I also have some hesitations living half an hour away from a hospital, and want education on what my options e and what complications could look like. We plan to do a homebirth with Promise Community Health Center in Sioux Center, IA. Our estimated budget for doula services is $1500, however are still researching and are not sure what is reasonable. We are 16 weeks pregnant right now, so our birth plan is very minimal at the moment. Open to whatever ideas will give the best outcome for our baby.

We are located in Platte City, Missouri and plan to give birth at north Kansas City hospital. We would like to stay under $1000 for a doula. We currently don’t have a birth plan but we are looking for someone with strong Christian background, can help educate us better with a birth plan, the birthing process(natural and medicated), what comes after, vaccines, and postpartum. We would love someone who leans more on the anti vaccination side. This is our first and we are still learning. Thank you!

I am going through my 1st pregnancy after going through fertility treatments. I have little idea to what to expect or what to do. I see my OB at Mankato Clinic and plan to have baby at Mankato Mayo Hospital.

I am a high risk pregnancy. Because I am epileptic. And I have hypothyroid disorder. Drs have suspected pcos but it's never been confirmed. I am trying to see if I could work with both a midwife and an obgyn. Mainly incase there may be the need for a c section. I was also trying to find out about things like birthing classes. I think giving birth at a hospital or birthing center may be the safest route for me to go with due to my health conditions. I have both medicare and mohealthnet so going with a midwife or obgyn that accepts those insurers would be beneficial. I am struggling to find an obgyn or midwife in my area because I do not want to be seen by MU or Boone facilities. I haven't even had an ultrasound yet and I'm almost 14 weeks along.

I’m 16. Have heart issues so need to give birth in hospital. I want all natural minimal intervention birth. Both of the other 2 people allowed in the delivery room are 16 so I need someone that is a good supportive adult that will help advocate for me during my birth and help me follow my birth plan without pushing their opinions.
