I am currently 14 weeks (due May 9th) into my first pregnancy. My husband and I are looking for a doula to assist with an unmedicated birth at Holmes Hospital. I go to HealthFirst and my doctors rotate, so any of the 6 could be there for my birth. We would love for a doula who knows us and can help assist with our birth plan and for the unexpected in the moment! We would love to schedule a consultation during the week after 5:00pm if you can be available then. We are most interested in learning more about Laboring Down, Unmedicated Birth, avoiding birth laying on the back, and delaying infant vaccinations until 2 months or later.

I plan to give birth in the hospital. I would like a doula to be there to assist and help make sure my birthing plan goes as planned. I want to be prepared for a natural birth. I'm unemployed but I have Medicaid so any with a low rate or payment plan. I plan to give birth naturally in the hospital possible even with water, dim lighting, no epidural, essential oils, delayed cord clapping, if possible keep baby with placenta.

This will be my first baby and birth, with that being said I’m very unsure about a lot of things. That’s one of the main reasons I’d like a doulas help! I’d love help navigating through This journey with someone that is educated and experienced. I wouldn't say I really have a birth plan, I do however know of some things that I think I’d like from some “research” I’ve been doing. I’m also very open to changes in this depending on what the doula thinks/recommends. I’d love to have an unmedicated birth (in a hospital) as I would feel more settled having that access if anything goes wrong. I would like to be in control of my birth, deciding what position I’m in, letting my water break on its own, no drugs to induce labor, etc.. I want someone by my side who’s educated and who has my best interest in mind; if that makes sense! I’ve heard how doctors love to rush your birth. As far as budget, I’d really love to discuss everything id potentially need or want and we would figure it out from there? I just see so many numbers I’m really unsure what the cost is. I’d say max $3,000

I have everything I’m wanting to do written down but I want someone to help advocate for us so we don’t have to worry about it

Home or birth center. I would like to find a doula in my Ambetter network if possible. This would be second unmediated birth. I would like someone well versed in physiological birth and that can help me with different positions and mental focus/coping. Also to coach my partner in supporting me.

This is my first pregnancy and both my partner and I will be first time parents. I’m looking for help understanding my body as baby and I continue to grow. I live far from my mother and sisters so it’s a very emotional time without that support. I would love to learn new things for baby safety, feeding, sleep as well as what’s good for me as I’m nourishing myself and baby. I plan to give birth in the hospital with very minimal interventions, but I’m currently unsure what a back up plan would look like and I could use some support with creating that backup plan. Our first birth plan is to be very intimate and peaceful but my partner can also use some understanding and learning points for how to support, and where, at the time of birth. Once baby arrives, my partner won’t have the opportunity to be home with us long, and I’m planning to be home for 2 months postpartum. We would absolutely love the night support and the continuous learning. We have family support but we really want the first week to be only us and baby, as well as have strong boundaries with family about baby with hygiene and safety so this is where the help would come in. I feel like there is more to discuss to better understand match, but I am still very new!
