In person doula to be there for my planned unmedicated home birth. I will have a more hands off midwife and water birth will be an option. John Hopkins hospital /Baltimore area WellPoint MD Insurance Im New to the Baltimore county area so I’m unfamiliar with the area and hospitals. If anyone that has experience with these locations that would be awesome . I would also love support in preparing for birth, including guidance on exercises, positioning, and techniques that can help with labor progression and pain management.

Hi. I am interested in your services. I am currently located in Baltimore Maryland and I am pregnant with baby #2. I had a c section with my first due to “ failure to progress “ and I would like to avoid that the second go around with a vbac. I was wondering if you are currently accepting new patients and do you take insurance?
I am planning to give birth in a hospital and am specifically looking for a doula who has strong experience supporting natural, unmedicated births. My goal is to have a calm, low-intervention labor using natural pain management techniques such as breathing, movement, positioning, and relaxation. I want someone who can provide continuous emotional and physical support, help me stay grounded, and advocate for my birth preferences throughout the process. It’s very important to me to feel empowered and in control of my experience. I am open to necessary medical interventions only if absolutely needed for safety. I would also appreciate some postpartum support if available. I currently have Medicaid, so I am interested in doulas who accept Medicaid or offer flexible/payment plan options. As a mom of two, I value patience, clear communication, and a comforting presence.
As of today, I am planning to give birth at GMBC, I am an OB who practices at their campus in Towson, MD. I am relying heavily on my two insurance plans and am willing to pay the copays/what they do not cover. I also have not drawn up or outlined a birth plan. I do know I do not what to be induced unless absolutely necessary (AKA Pitocin pressured) and I am open to an epidural. I am really looking for someone I can rely on to educate both parties involved being my significant other and I and my mother who are at this moment who I want present for the birth. And more importantly enforce boundaries from a more medically trained/educated standpoint on my behalf and with my health/survival in mind. I also would love someone who is especially experienced with the mental health aspect of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
I need a doula who can provide consistent emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after labor. I want help managing pain naturally, including breathing techniques, positioning, and comfort measures. I also need someone who can advocate for my birth preferences and help me communicate with medical staff. During labor, I want continuous support, reassurance, and guidance to stay calm and focused. After birth, I would like support with recovery, newborn care basics, and breastfeeding if needed. Overall, I’m looking for someone who is patient, understanding, non judgmental, and dependable.
