We plan on giving birth at OSF Little Company of Mary Hospital. We would like to delay chord clamping, delay bathing and introduce bare skin contact as soon as possible. We would like to delay examination. For the birth we would like to only use an epidural if absolutely necessary and would like to try other forms of pain reduction (nitric oxide); also limiting cervix checks. Not quite sure of an estimated budget. Postpartum, would like assistance in breastfeeding and getting the placenta into pill form for nutrients.

We are two first-time parents looking for a caring, experienced night nurse/newborn care specialist to help us welcome our baby, due in March 2027. After a seven-year infertility journey, we are incredibly excited to be expecting our daughter via gestational surrogacy. We are both 43, so we may be first-time parents a little later than expected and we know we have a lot to learn! We are looking for someone who can provide overnight newborn care while also helping educate and guide us through those first weeks at home. My c section will be planned at the hospital for the 5th time. I want to be abled to leave the hospital in 2 days. I would want the best recommendation as far as before I get ready for a c section as far as of a epidural or any other medications that would help me and keeping a close watch on me and my baby.
