We plan on giving birth at the hospital as it is our first and I found out I have gestational diabetes. We don't know what to expect for budgeting for a doula, we're hoping to have someone who's fully authorized and certified with Tricare for direct billing. Natural birth, hopefully unmedicated, lots of movement, and showers hopefully helping with the pain. I'm really wanting to try to deliver vaginally, but I'm nervous about my size and pain management.

Im looking for a lactation consultant to help with transitioning my baby from breastfeeding and bottle feeding every feed to exclusively breastfeeding as well as weaning off a nipple shield my baby is 3 weeks and 3 days born at 37 weeks old she was sent immediately to nicu and was tube fed while she was learning to bottle feed which took her about a week to be able to feed fully without a tube

I am a first time mom that will be home with this baby myself. Most of the time as my husband will be working. I need advice on postpartum care with the baby and breast-feeding. I’m not really sure I know what to do is I do not have a birth plan at this time. My doctor kind of told me I don’t need one. I have not taken any classes yet.

My birth plan is to avoid being induced with pitocin, avoiding cervical checks unless necessary, more than likely getting the epidural, avoiding a c section unless 100% necessary, delayed cord clamping, skin to skin immediately, all medical checks for baby done in the room, and I plan to breastfeed primarily and formula as a back up if necessary.

I would like more info on having a home birth. Our budget is tight, and I’m not sure what “rates” are for home birth deliveries. I’ve always been on the fence about home births, but our current insurance (husband’s) is extremely expensive for what we can afford. Also, I am considered high risk due to my weight, but so far no concerns with the baby otherwise. This is my second pregnancy, and in the last week (around 38-39 weeks) I was diagnosed with gestational hypertension. Otherwise I had a healthy first pregnancy, and so far this pregnancy is healthy as well.

My daughter has a shallow latch that despite my best efforts I havent been able to fix. The biggest issue is that she won’t open her mouth wide enough and all the tricks I’ve learned (tickling chin, nipple to nose, sandwiching my breast) haven’t made a difference. It’s especially painful at night when she side latches so I can rest as she nurses and then she spits up virtually all of her milk. I need help figuring out why she won’t open her mouth wider. This is my second child and I didn’t have this issue the first time. I’m available during the day. I live in Longmeadow MA.

Hello, I am 31 years old, 7 weeks postpartum with my second and I am Looking to see if relactation is possible. I have already started menstruating again. My baby had a good latch right out of the hospital, but I quickly developed a postpartum fever and hypertension upon discharge. Because of the additional stress on my body, we decided to formula feel. However, my daughter is having a hard time with gas and bowel movements even after trying different formulas. They are causing her to be extremely gassy & fussy & I don’t want to continue looking for a formula that might work. We are a single income home, so any services offered on a sliding scale or of a reasonable price would be appreciated.

Everything breastfeeding. We are frustrated with irregular milk supply and techniques. Budget is bigger for someone who can actually help and do it quickly

My goal is to have a safe, supported delivery with access to medical care and pain-management options as needed. My birth plan focuses on a calm, low-stress, and informed birth experience. I would like support with comfort measures during labor, guidance with breathing and positioning, and assistance advocating for my preferences with the medical team when appropriate. I am open to medical pain-relief options, but would like to attempt natural coping techniques first. I also value emotional reassurance, clear communication, and postpartum support to help with recovery and the transition into parenthood.

I need help getting my 5 month old baby to latch on the breast again. He is refusing the breast and only wants the bottle or pacifiers. I’m unsure if it’s a nursing strike or if he’s done with breastfeeding but I really wants him to latch on the breast again and don’t want to be done with my breastfeeding journey until he’s at least 1 year old

My baby is 4/5 months almost now. Breastfeeding has been good. Up until 2/3 months she’s been having green water ish poop. Her dr said she’s been gaining weight so she’s not concerned. She has reflux. I just cut dairy out of my diet to see if it helps. But still she is fussy at the breast. Screaming everytime I try to feed her. I’m worried she’s not getting enough. She went from eating on both breast per feeding 10 minutes a side to barelyb3-4 on each side now. Sometimes less. I’m not sure what’s changed but I feel bad she doesn’t enjoy eating like she used to and cries so much. Worried my supply might drop or she’s just not Gettitn enough.

Baby is almost 3 months and stopped breastfeeding. Currently pumping. Would like to get back to putting baby on breast. I need someone with experience. Ibclc. This is my second child, so I have gotten many many tips and Education already. Would be great if they could come to my house.
