Hospital birth $500-$1000 Vaginal birth (Vbac) at hospital
Hospital birth doula Bcbs federal Maryland Columbia Maryland
I need a doula who can provide consistent emotional, physical, and informational support before, during, and after labor. I want help managing pain naturally, including breathing techniques, positioning, and comfort measures. I also need someone who can advocate for my birth preferences and help me communicate with medical staff. During labor, I want continuous support, reassurance, and guidance to stay calm and focused. After birth, I would like support with recovery, newborn care basics, and breastfeeding if needed. Overall, I’m looking for someone who is patient, understanding, non judgmental, and dependable.
1. I will birth in a hospital 2. $1,800 3. I plan to have a natural birth with no pain medication.
I'm looking for a Labor Doula to support my in-hospital unmedicated VBAC! I have been using the Christian Hypnobirthing app and education, and my husband has read the Bradley method book, as he will be my main support during labor! I have Tricare Select, so I'm looking for an in-network doula.
I’m scared of hospitals I need an advocate and some help to! I rlly need someone in my corner as I go thru this process it is my first and I am petrified
I am planning to give birth in a hospital and am specifically looking for a doula who has strong experience supporting natural, unmedicated births. My goal is to have a calm, low-intervention labor using natural pain management techniques such as breathing, movement, positioning, and relaxation. I want someone who can provide continuous emotional and physical support, help me stay grounded, and advocate for my birth preferences throughout the process. It’s very important to me to feel empowered and in control of my experience. I am open to necessary medical interventions only if absolutely needed for safety. I would also appreciate some postpartum support if available. I currently have Medicaid, so I am interested in doulas who accept Medicaid or offer flexible/payment plan options. As a mom of two, I value patience, clear communication, and a comforting presence.
As of today, I am planning to give birth at GMBC, I am an OB who practices at their campus in Towson, MD. I am relying heavily on my two insurance plans and am willing to pay the copays/what they do not cover. I also have not drawn up or outlined a birth plan. I do know I do not what to be induced unless absolutely necessary (AKA Pitocin pressured) and I am open to an epidural. I am really looking for someone I can rely on to educate both parties involved being my significant other and I and my mother who are at this moment who I want present for the birth. And more importantly enforce boundaries from a more medically trained/educated standpoint on my behalf and with my health/survival in mind. I also would love someone who is especially experienced with the mental health aspect of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
1. St. Agnes or Howard General Hospital 2. 800-1,500 3. Tbd
Mercy Hospital Center 1,000 Have a safe and healthy delivery
I plan to give birth at home. My estimated budget is 6k. I am a vegan and I am taking prenatals. I would like prenatal check ups and perhaps post partum as well.
Hi. I am interested in your services. I am currently located in Baltimore Maryland and I am pregnant with baby #2. I had a c section with my first due to “ failure to progress “ and I would like to avoid that the second go around with a vbac. I was wondering if you are currently accepting new patients and do you take insurance?
Looking for a midwife to assist with home birth, that can take insurance.
1. I will be giving birth at St. Joseph's Medical Center 2. I honestly don't know much about the cost of doulas, but I'm guessing it'll be in the $1000-$2000 range? 3. My due date is June 4th, but due to my history of blood clots I am going to be induced beforehand. I do not currently have that date yet. During my first pregnancy, I had a vacuum assisted birth which likely led to my prolapse (rectocele). I plan to get an epidural, but would like to give birth/labor in positions that will hopefully lessen the likelihood of my prolapse worsening. I know the epidural limits my options on this. It also felt like my doctor may have rushed me and not that the vacuum was necessarily essential to do. My labor was only 6 hours, and the final stage of pushing was somewhere around 10 minutes. I was her last patient of the night, and she had been pretty dismissive about other mothers laboring. I could be wrong and it may absolutely have been a necessary intervention for both my baby and I to be healthy! But I'd like some help (particularly when I'm not as easily able to advocate for myself) making sure that if we are going to have an intervention again, that it is necessary and not something we can wait on or try a different option first. I really, really don't want my prolapse to worsen. 3. I have Kaiser Permanente, but unfortunately the website appears to be down so I can't look up my plan details. It's whatever Baltimore County Public Schools does for their Kaiser Plan. It's an HMO but beyond that I'm not sure.
My doctors office is vbac friendly and said that I am a good candidate. I have had 2 c sections in 2020 and 2021. I will be giving birth at University of Maryland hospital. I am looking for a doula that accepts Medicaid.
I am using my insurance which is Medicare and Medicaid and looking for doula that can deliver babies or a midwife
We are looking for a midwife and/or doula who is experienced in supporting natural, holistic, and intuitive birthing experiences, specifically home water births. This is our first birth, and we want to feel supported, informed, and respected throughout the entire process. We value a provider who honors the body’s natural ability to give birth while also remaining attentive, knowledgeable, and grounded. Our intention is to have a natural home water birth, with a focus on low intervention and supporting physiological labor. We are interested in using movement, breathwork, positioning, and other non-medical comfort measures to guide the process. We are open to medical support if needed, but we want someone who prioritizes informed consent and helps us feel empowered and involved in all decisions. We have been receiving prenatal care from an OB-GYN up to this point while we search for the right midwife or doula, and we are looking to transition our care to someone who aligns more closely with our holistic approach. We are especially looking for someone who is calm, intuitive, and respectful of our preferences, and who can help create a peaceful, grounded environment during labor. Guidance with labor positioning, pain management, and emotional reassurance is very important to us. We would also appreciate support for my partner so they can confidently assist me throughout labor. Our goal is to create a birth experience that feels safe, supported, and aligned with our values, while still being adaptable if circumstances change. We are open to discussing budget and services based on the level of support provided.
I plan to give birth in a hospital My budget is whatever tricare my insurance covers . My birth plan is to have a unmedicated birth. I also would like some minimal help after birth specifically on baby information ( latching, post partum help, baby needs)
1. Holly Cross Hospital but thinking about changing 2.no budget 3. Birth plan is to have full range of movement no hooked up to monitors and IVs the whole time. Not pushing on my back if the baby is having a hard time coming out . No clamping cord right away and waiting till it’s limp and discolored
I do plan on giving birth at hospital. I’m considering induction to be more planned and less chaos if possible. I haven’t rlly decided on a budget, want to learn more about doulas and get a better understanding of what they are. I also haven’t came up with an exact birth plan yet
