Full Spectrum Childbirth Education: This class is 4 weeks long, each night lasting 2 hours. In this class you will learn about pregnancy, from conception through birth and everything that goes along with it. You will also learn preparation for birth, postpartum, and how to care for baby in the early weeks. We'll cover things from how to choose a provider to best birthing positions and everything in between. A sample outline of each week looks like: Week One: Navigating Pregnancy from conception through contractions Week Two: Birthing Confidently Pt. 1 Week Three: Birthing Confidently Pt. 2 Week Four: A New Journey, Postpartum and life with a newborn Classes will be held virtually every Monday night for 4 weeks. About the provider
Hi! My name is Alexa, I am a Holland native, I am a childbirth educator, and I can't wait to help you along this journey! I became passionate about birth work at about 10 year ago. So far on my journey I have tried my hand as a midwives assistant and as a doula, and have currently found a passion for Childbirth education! Coming from a liberal arts background, earning my History degree from Hope college in 2023, I have a strong foundation in research and critical thinking. This background is what I base all of my Childbirth classes in. More than just an avalanche of information, my classes teach you how to do your own research and think about what is best for you and your family. I have attended trainings in doula support, waterbirth, childbirth education, and am currently in school for nursing as well. Along with all of that, I am constantly learning new information to pass along to you. Please do not hesitate to reach out with questions on any of my offerings!
