I am a first-time parent and my insurance covers a doula and my mom suggested i get it. I want information and like how this works. I have medicaid and I am 20 my partner is 19.

I am looking for a support/advocate person to be with me at the hospital when I give birth. OBs cannot promise I will know who delivers me so having someone that knows what I want and need is important to me. I am looking for the least amount of interventions as possible. Delayed cord clamping, golden hour, etc. This will be my third birth but first one with a doula if I decide to hire one.

A support person starting as soon as possible, to be with me to my appointments and also for the delivery...then to help me along the first few weeks after the baby is born.
