I will be giving birth at Hackensack University Hospital in Hackensack New Jersey I would like to stay under 2k for a doula I am very open to epidurals and medical intervention but want to arm myself with the knowledge to labor for as long as I can without medical intervention and if possible, and I feel empowered to do so, have a natural birth. Dear Pippa, My husband Sam and I are expecting our second child in mid September of this year. Sam will take off one week to ten days for paternity leave and then another week or so later in the year. We have a two year old son (Hugo) who will be in school from 8:30 to 1:30 Monday through Friday. I would like to speak with you about our specific needs, but I think it would be something like three days for five hours in the first week I’m home from the hospital, five days for five hours the next week, and then maybe two or three days for four hours the week after that.
