Hello, my name is Stella and I'm writing to apply for the Babysitter position with your family. I have five years of experience working with children, including children's day programs. I've been babysitting regularly for the last two years. My experience, combined with my CPR and first aid certification, makes me a great candidate for your new Babysitter. My most recent Babysitter position was with a family of one precious girl. I was with her from 10 months old to now where she's turning 4. From, learning new things like walking, talking and even taking her to swim classes, it has been a proud time to see her grow! During the day, she and I would play games, do arts and crafts, enjoy educational activities and have a home-cooked lunch. I was also available to care for the other children when they went to birthday parties or to babysit nights and weekends when the parents wanted a date night. My clients have often expressed appreciation for my adaptability, enthusiasm and ability to handle any type of situation. Since my most recent clients moved out of town, I currently have a very flexible schedule, including nights. I appreciate you taking the time to read my letter and consider my application. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email if you have questions about my qualifications. I would love the opportunity to work with your family and get to know your children.

Nikki Williams

Nikki Williams is a Certified Professional Midwife licensed to practice in the states of Maryland and Virginia, specializing in the management of normal, low-risk pregnancy and birth in both the home and birth center setting. Nikki Williams strongly supports parents in their right to true informed consent and refusal for all decisions. It is Nikki’s expectation that her clients research all of their pregnancy and birth choices and take responsibility for educating themselves, and for communicating with Nikki whenever there are questions or concerns. Nikki will take the time to make sure that clients are clear and comfortable with all the decisions they are being asked to make during their experience in her care. Nikki respects your ultimate authority over your pregnancy, labor and birth, and baby, and strives to create family-centered birth experiences. During birth, partners or support people will be encouraged and supported to participate as much or as little as they desire. The role of Nikki as a midwife is to monitor fetal growth and development, support the mother to grow a healthy baby and to stay physically and mentally healthy themselves, provide as much or as little information as the family needs, and get to know the entire family in order to foster a positive and optimistic attitude toward birth. At birth, the midwife’s role is to assist with the birth of the baby and the placenta, monitor mother and baby vitals, support a normal neonatal transition to extrauterine life, repair any lacerations, facilitate bonding and breastfeeding, transfer to higher levels of care if needed, and clean up. Nikki’s postpartum support focuses on ensuring a healthy newborn who is feeding effectively, rest and healing of the newly postpartum mother, and integration of the baby into the whole family. Nikki Williams provides care that supports pregnancy and birth as a natural process, which minimizes but does not exclude medical intervention. Nikki carries emergency medications and equipment to manage postpartum hemorrhage, GBS prophylaxis, shock, dehydration, minor perineal repair and neonatal resuscitation at home. Nikki is unable to provide medical induction or pharmacological pain relief at home, but is knowledgeable in the use of herbs and homeopathics to encourage healthy labor and relieve pain. Nikki strongly encourages the use of water in labor and birth (hydrotherapy) and will provide all of the client education and supplies needed to allow water labor and waterbirth. Overall, Nikki Williams became a homebirth midwife after the birth of her only child, after experiencing the profound positive change in her outlook on life and new respect for herself after receiving midwifery care that allowed her to realize her power and capability for the first time. Nikki is now working her dream job that has always been waiting within her, after dedicating her early adulthood to other careers and other college degrees. She is dedicated to helping others achieve their own individual hopes and dreams for their births and themselves, so they can also realize their full power as humans and parents.

Hello and congrats! I'm Gina Valo, a certified labor doula (Childbirth International and ProDoula) and the founder of BirthingKind. My role as a doula is to make sure you have access to the information, resources, and support you need to feel comfortable and confident throughout your pregnancy and birth experience. Our philosophy is simple: Your Body. Your Baby. Your Birth. My practice is rooted in evidence-based information, which serves as critical foundation for informed decision-making. I lean heavily on my academic and professional background in healthcare data to stay up to date on the latest research in maternal health. Before becoming a doula I worked as a healthcare technology executive and White House Presidential Innovation Fellow at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. I like to balance research and data with a healthy dose of empathy and emotional intelligence so that we can arrive at decisions that work best for you. I would love the opportunity to meet you and see if we’re a fit.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Gina and I was so incredibly lucky and thankful to have her present at the birth of my daughter. As a nurse midwife myself, I have worked with a large number of doulas and Gina is truly one of the best doulas I have ever worked with in my career. From not only supporting me physically through my unmedicated vaginal delivery (I don’t know that I would have made it without her incredible hip squeezes). Gina made a point to remember that my husband also needed support (he’s a little squeamish haha). Her ability to take care of not only the birthing person, but the entire family made Gina such a valuable member of my team. And then when complications arose and I was bleeding more than normal, Gina was the most incredible advocate. Checking in with the medical team to ask when I would be re-evaluated and when the MDs were coming into the room, which allowed me and my husband to continue to bond with the baby. And ultimately, when I ended up in the operating room, Gina stayed with my husband and newborn, so that he was not left alone with a new baby and a wife in the OR, which I know was an absolute necessity to keep him calm and at peace. Gina was by my side for almost 12 hours, never taking a break, and did not end up leaving the hospital until almost 3AM when me, my baby, and my husband were all safe and sound. Hiring Gina was the best decision I made during this pregnancy, and I don’t know how I would have emotionally survived this delivery without her.

I have already helped so many families to get their little ones to sleep better and I am here to help you!

We were so lucky to meet Uma. From the first zoom meeting we felt that were in good hands and that we are a team! She has analyzed baby’s sleep schedule and have created a new day and night routines according to Nika’s age and development. She gave us all the tips and tricks! We were in touch all day. If we had any questions they were answered within minutes! First week was tough. We were not only incorporating new routine but also teaching Nika to fall sleep without any help from parents and without pacifier. Uma was supporting me when I was about to give up but I’m glad I didn’t! After first week Nika was able to fall asleep by herself without pacifier and our help. She was able to put herself back to sleep without us rocking her. And her naps became longer!

My practice is inspired by the idea of radical liberation and justice. I center my service around centering marginalized identities and accepting whoever is open to sharing their journey with me. Entering the birth space with intention of radical joy, agency, and empowerment is what drives and motivates me as a birth worker. With these values in mind, I seek to offer care that embodies an environment of acceptance, affirmation, and protection from hate.

Hello Parents of Little Ones! My name is Jessica Vonada! I have always had a passion for children, especially babies! My initial work with infants was in the setting of an early learning center from 2005-2009 while I was in college earning a B.S. in Elementary Education and M.S. in Education, specializing in ESL. After graduating in 2009, I taught for 2 years before realizing working with infants was my true calling. In 2011, I began working in the role of a Newborn Care Specialist, primarily with preemies & twins. From May 2015 until July 2017, I had the privilege of caring for orphaned & abandoned infants and toddlers in a babies home in Uganda. And in 2018, I received my certification as an Advanced Newborn Care Specialist. My journey to becoming a child sleep consultant began in 2012. At that time I was in a 24 hour care position with a set of twins. Initially their sleep seemed fairly on track, but after hitting the 4 month sleep regression, their sleep quickly began to unravel. By 6 months of age they were waking every 1-2 hours each night and the mom decided it was time to bring in a sleep consultant. I was skeptical to say the least! Much to my disbelief, within a few days they were sleeping 12 uninterrupted hours at night and began taking age appropriate naps. After that I had to know more! And in 2016, I graduated from the Family Sleep Institute as a Certified Child Sleep Consultant. As I continued as a Newborn Care Specialist and Child Sleep Consultant, I realized I was not always able to advise and assist lactating and postpartum moms the way I would have liked to. I wanted to become more balanced and be able to provide holistic support to the families I was caring for. As a result, I took the necessary steps to become a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist and Certified Postpartum Doula. And currently I am pursuing the journey to becoming an IBCLC. I have a true passion for what I do and would love to help you and your family get the sleep you need!
