Hi! I’m Mel, a full-spectrum doula, lactation peer counselor, and student midwife based in the DMV and supporting Florida birthing mamas and birthing people as well. With lived experience in both a cesarean and a VBAC/home birth, along with six years of herbal training, I integrate evidence-based care, trauma-informed support, and holistic traditional practices. I attend all births and prioritize improving outcomes for Black birthers through clear guidance and informed decision-making. My goal is to help families navigate pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and breastfeeding with confidence, accurate information, and consistent advocacy. In-home care to aid recovery following childbirth; provides families with information surrounding holistic emotional and physical post-partum healing, infant soothing, and feeding. Post-partum services include but are not limited to: Enlightenment on infant feeding and care. Nourishing meal preparation. Closing the bones. Grocery shopping. Light housework. Scheduling (groceries, appointments, etc) Assistance with baby, siblings, or pets. Assistance at postnatal or ped. appointments. Traditional belly binding. Sacral steaming. Sacred herbal bath. Overnight care. Massage. Herbal Medicine. and more, as all of our offerings can be tailored to the needs of our families. *Minimum of 2 hours. Weekly $400 for 14 hours. Have the option to stretch hours across the week.

As a holistic full-spectrum doula and peer lactation support, my focus is supporting you through the entirety of your maternal journey—from conception to postpartum and beyond.
