My baby is due August 2026 I plan to give birth at Allegheny General in Pittsburgh, PA I do not have an established budget. Currently I’m looking to understand more about what a doula can provide and associated pricing.

I plan on giving birth at either ocean medical center in brick, nj or jersey shore medical center in Neptune. I'm looking for someone who can help keep me calm during labor, advocate for me and explain to me my options, and provide different techniques during labor. I would like to receive pain meds but I also want to be able to move during labor. I'd like to avoid episiotomies of possible. I want a calm environment. I'm also looking for some support post partum to help transition into being a new mom. My budget is around $1,000.

I am looking to have a natural and unmedicated birth if possible and would like a doula to help guide me through the experience as well as help me through postpartum if needed. This is my first baby and would like as much support and help with this as possible.

I am new to the idea of having a doula. I would like to do more preparation work to hopefully have a smoother delivery. My first experience of childbirth, ended in a natural delivery that was forceps assisted, and I had 3+ hours of pushing before we decided between forceps or C section. I had to be induced after 11 days being overdue. I would hope that with this next pregnancy I can go naturally and have way less medications than I had the first time. I want to trust that my body knows what to do, but I need to help train it to achieve my goal. 1. I plan to give birth in St. Luke’s Anderson Campus 2. I am a new mom and need help navigating important birth decisions and putting together a birth plan that works best for me- free of doctor biase. I just want the most natural required decisions considering my body’s condition to not put my baby in harms way. 3. My birth plan is something I am researching now but I want delayed cord cutting for sure; I don’t want pitocin if not needed. I would love to try a natural unmedicated birth if possible and consider if epidural is ever required and don’t know if my doctor will recommend c section due to any risks but if so I want to navigate this decision carefully. I don’t want to be induced early- I might not want the HPB Vaccine for baby or Vitamin K (still researching) and want to do skin to skin with dad and I. We want to be present in babies first bath and want baby in room at all times if possible. No students performing high risk procedures on me - ok to watch if necessary. Hi! My name is Zoe, I’m 25 years old, having my second baby, and would love to achieve an unmedicated birth (at a hospital). With my first baby, I did a good amount of research but didn’t realize just how important practicing breathing/relaxing/coping mechanisms are! I unfortunately had to be induced because my water started trickling with no signs of labor. Around 6-7 cm I asked for an epidural. There were no complications. This time around I kind of know what I’m walking into and therefor am preparing more through reading/practicing Hypnobirthing, and switched providers so that I’m delivering closer to home. I’m only 5 minutes away from Newton Hospital and would love to labor at home for as long as possible, God willing! Considering hiring a doula to help me cope alongside my husband, because, wow, it’s so needed! Squeezing some combs wasn’t cutting it last time!
