Hey there! My name is Nikki and I'm so excited to support you and your family during this transitional time! Caring for families during the most exciting but also most vulnerable and scary time in their lives is my passion and calling. I particularly take interest in helping LGBTQIA+ families, neurodivergent parents, and parenting after infertility. My job is to leave a family feeling better than when I arrived by providing emotional and physical support, education, information, and resources.

We hired Nikki as our postpartum doula for our first child, four weeks of nights and six weeks of days. Simply put, she was indispensable for new parents with no family in the area. She was knowledgeable, enthusiastic, so careful with our little one, and gave us both rest and peace of mind. If you are thinking about hiring a kind, thoughtful postpartum doula, Nikki is great

I am a Registered Nurse and a mother of 5 boys (3 on earth and 2 angels in heaven). When my first was born he had a NICU stay of one week. The Lactation Consultant on duty empowered me to breastfeed him and gave me tools so that I could bring him home sooner than expected. She inspired me to follow a career into lactation. Then after having breastfed my own children and developing a passion for helping others, I went on to become a IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant). I also have a Bachelor's degree in Exercise and Wellness Management and Nursing. I have been an RN for the last 12 years. I am here to help you reach your goals with breastfeeding, whatever they may be. When offering my services I assess the mother/baby as a whole and make recommendations based on evidence-based care.

Matrescence::: Embracing your journey of Motherhood I guide women through the unknown and chaotic journey, called birth. I am a compassionate guide offering soothing wisdom and expert support. My specialty is being a safe space for mothers to heal from past birth trauma. I help mothers reclaim their power and embody confidence for the next birth. ensuring parents feel seen, supported and ready to thrive. After my first born, I immediately knew that my birth experience was something amazing, transformational and empowering. I just didnt have the words, but after my first doula training I could better put it in a much richer context and support other mothers, pre-conception through postpartum. Over the next years I shared my story and supported mothers in my community as a doula. Eventually working as a full time postpartum doula, I realized a major barrier was during the breastfeediing journey. I followed my passion in nurturing mothers into their new normal, with confidence, comfort and compassion while training to become a lactation lactation consultant. I am now an expert wombkeeper- Waterbirth & Postpartum Doula, Afterbirth Restorative Therapist, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) just to name a few. I find much pleasure and joy in nurturing new families as they discover, connect and create their family culture around the couplet. The cornerstone of my practice honors each mother’s unique journey of matrescence, the experience of becoming a mother. My resassuring, soothing wisdom and expert skills cultivate a visceral connection and safe space for new parents. I have traveled, trained and supported mothers internationally through pregnancy, labor/birth and breastfeeding. My signature, Afterbith Restorative Therapy Methods, support the new mother with restorative practices like belly binding, V-Steam, closing of the bones, as a time/space to reflect on their birth experiences. The Afterbirth Restorative Therapy Method not only provides a new mother with a greater sense of well-being; the new mother is better to care for herself and her new baby.

My Story I am New York native, living in Los Angeles now for the last 15 years. I am a proud mom to my 6 six boys (age 5 to 21) so for a long time I was either pregnant or breastfeeding. Each baby breastfed for a different duration of time depending on what was going on in my life then and I enjoyed every minute of it. As my boys grew older I was on the search for a new career so I started searching. After exploring various career options, and helping some new mom friends along the way I set my eyes on becoming a Lactation Consultant. This profession combines my passions for babies, breastfeeding and helping others. I so enjoyed my breastfeeding experiences with my babies and wished the same for all moms. So, in my 30's and mom of 5 at the time, I returned to school. After completing my prerequisites, I joined the LC program at UCSD and finally became an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) in 2019.

Hi! I'm Shaina Brickner from West Los Angeles :) I am an IBCLC and RN, with 7 years as a Labor and Delivery Nurse. I transitioned to working as a lactation consultant when I realized that my true passion is educating new parents on all the options they have when it comes to breastfeeding their babies. I have 3 children whom I breastfed each for over a year, and each breastfeeding journey was so unique. I love to help new parents navigate the crazy new world of parenthood through birth, breastfeeding, and newborn care classes and postpartum lactation visits. I offer home visits (if you're local to Los Angeles) as well as virtual and sometimes office visits. My favorite topics of discussion are pumping schedules when going back to work, tethered oral tissues (tongue tie/lip tie), combining sleep hygiene and breastfeeding. and managing supply issues.

Recent review

Shaina was generous with her time. She was very pleasant to chat with and calm. I liked how she didn’t feel worried or anxious about things and it made me feel safe and trust her. As a mom in the midst of this, you can really be stuck in a spinning world trying to figure out solutions. The email she sent me afterwards was perfectly simple and detailed with a beautiful attachment with helpful tips and info on the plan we discussed and extra tips as well. Thank you so much!

I am an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant, parent educator, and mother of four with personal experience breastfeeding my four children through a variety of challenges for about six years. My nursing experience includes two years in NICU. I'm not currently licensed in California as a registered nurse. As a new mother, I was so thankful to have in-home support. This is the same model I have developed my lactation services on. Early and often works well for establishing your milk supply. It also works well to provide support to new parents as they adjust to life with a new baby. I provide free ongoing follow-up support to all consultations to help you embrace motherhood with confidence.

Recent review

Linda is a wonderful resource for Moms hoping to have a healthy breastfeeding experience with their little ones. I am a healthcare provider who sees lots of families, pregnant moms and little ones and I've recommended Linda countless time for help with all things breastfeeding. She even does free classes in my office educating moms on a variety of breastfeeding topics, and I trust her expertise to the fullest!

I became a doula to not only heal from my traumatic birth expirence but also to help others hopefully avoid one all together. We as moms don't always have a village and if we do they might not have all the facts . I want to be that village for your family and help YOU make the best choices for YOUR family and YOUR baby.

"We had a homebirth after my traumatic hospital birth and she clarified everything for me . She made the environment so calming and powerful that I honestly had *almost* no pain up until transition. We did the gold plan and it was worth every penny especially with a goody bag on babies "birthday" " - copied and pasted for the client by the owner
