I am a Newborn Care Specialist, with hands-on experience supporting families during the critical newborn stage. My role focuses on comprehensive newborn care, overnight support, feeding support, soothing, safe sleep practices, and helping parents feel confident and well-rested during the first months. I practice sleep conditioning rather than formal sleep training, as newborns feed on demand at this stage. I focus on gentle routines, recognizing sleep cues, age-appropriate soothing techniques, and laying healthy sleep foundations that support longer stretches of sleep as babies mature.

Sarah began her journey into postpartum doula practice in 2015 through Birth Arts International and has since continued her education, becoming certified in Infant/Adult CPR and as a baby-wearing technician. She regularly attends workshops to ensure that she provides her clients with the most current and comprehensive support available. Growing up with a brother who has a non-verbal disability, Sarah learned from an early age to intuitively read and respond to unspoken needs. Witnessing her mother's nurturing care and trusting her own instincts have shaped Sarah's approach to providing compassionate, intuitive support to families, especially those who may struggle to express their needs. Her passion for newborn care, sparked by her personal experience as a mother of two, drives her work. All of those girls (my aunts) gave birth to girls. If you can see where I'm going, I have seen a lot of birth over the years. I hold a degree in Psychology with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy and Child Development, which has guided me towards my current role as a postpartum doula. I received my certification from BADT in 2023 and have maintained a CPR/First Aid certification for over a decade. My background equips me to support families through various developmental stages, including those with disabilities, and I am committed to offering personalized care and respite during the postpartum period. Juli brings a wealth of experience with both singletons and multiples and can help families get a good night's sleep. She can also assist with feeding/nursing and newborn care skills.
