About me

Hello, my name is Alyssa Ellison and I am a Postpartum Doula and newborn care specialist. I was born and raised in Carson, California and currently live in San Pedro, Ca. I've been a birth professional for about 7 years now and I thoroughly enjoy it. I got started in this industry almost by default. I am the daughter of the middle daughter of 5 girls. All of those girls (my aunts) gave birth to girls. If you can see where I'm going, I have seen a lot of birth over the years. Naturally I gravitate towards birth and the perinatal period where I find myself bonding with new and to be new mothers in assisting them with being an extra set of hands so that it allows them to be more hands on and better bond with their baby. I am looking forward to working with new families, creating new memories and helping to strengthen bonds within households.

Service introduction

In addition to day to day postpartum care visits, I offer overnight doula and infant care services. During these visits, I focus on creating a space within the home that allows parents to more easily care for their child by creating spaces around the home that have supplies that allow you to care for baby without having to travel to one central location within the home, for example: baby changing and baby feeding stations. I also offer pre birth meetings in the home that will allow me to advise on nursery setup to make your postpartum journey go more smoothly.
