Assalamu Alaikum sister, my name is Sara. I’m currently 21 weeks pregnant, Alhamdulillah. I’m looking for a Muslim doula to support me through a home birth and postpartum.

We are first time parents with a 10 day old newborn and are looking for postpartum support, primarily to help us get rest and adjust to a consistent routine. We would like someone experienced with newborn care, including feeding support (breastfeeding/pumping or bottle), soothing techniques, and helping us understand our baby’s needs. Our main goal is to have support during a shift so that one or both of us can get uninterrupted sleep. We are especially interested in overnight or early morning support if available, but are open to daytime help as well. Light support such as holding the baby, assisting with burping and settling, and basic newborn guidance would be helpful. We would also appreciate someone who is communicative, reliable, and consistent, as that is very important to us during this stage. Our baby does not have any special needs. We are open to discussing a schedule that works for both sides, ideally a few hours per shift. Our budget is flexible but we are ideally looking for something in the range of $20–$30 per hour depending on experience and availability.

My partner is pregnant with a little girl due June 19 - we are planning to go to Owensboro for the birth, we live in Muhlenberg County (Beechmont). I am currently seeking postpartum doula support in Columbus, Georgia. I will be delivering at St. Francis-Emory Healthcare and anticipate needing support beginning in the last weeks of May and continuing through the full month of June. I am looking for a doula who must be available afternoons into evenings for about five hours per day, five days per week. My primary need is assistance with pet care, especially walking my dogs, along with general postpartum support. This includes helping ensure I am eating regularly, providing gentle reminders for self-care, and assisting with light housekeeping to help maintain a calm and supportive home environment during recovery. I value someone who is reliable, compassionate, and comfortable supporting both postpartum recovery and household needs.

I plan to give birth in a hospital. My estimated budget would ideally be no more than $2500. I would ideally like a doula that accepts Kaiser Permanente insurance. My birth plan is to deliver vaginally, unless that is not possible, and to do so with just the use of nitrous oxide and with an epidural as a last resort as I am trying to avoid tearing.
