About me

Hi, I’m the mama behind Corazon de Madre. My journey into birthwork began with my own unmedicated birth—an experience that completely transformed me and awakened a deep desire to help women birth in God’s glory, power, and peace. I’m a Certified Doula through Pain Free Birth, a program rooted in undisturbed, unmedicated faith-based birth support, and I am also a HypnoBabies trained HypnoDoula. I’m currently working toward becoming both an IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and a Birthing from Within Childbirth Educator, blending clinical knowledge with creative, spiritual preparation. My approach weaves holistic traditions, ritual, and mindset work—using tools like birth art, journaling, and body-centered practices to help women connect deeply with themselves and their birth story. My dream is to offer perinatal healthcare that bridges Eastern wisdom and evidence-based care, honoring the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.

Gia was such a grounding presence throughout my pregnancy and birth. She really listened to what I wanted and made me feel supported the whole way through. From our prenatal visits to labor support, I felt like I had someone in my corner who truly cared. So grateful for her!

I gave birth at Kaiser and ended up being induced, which wasn’t part of my original plan—but having Gia as my doula made all the difference. She helped me feel informed and confident going into the induction, and was such a steady, calming presence during the whole process. She talked me through my options, helped with positioning to get things moving, and supported both me and my partner through every stage. Even when things got intense, her voice and hands kept me grounded. I truly don’t know how I would’ve done it without her. If you're giving birth at Kaiser and want someone who will advocate for you and help you stay connected to your body and your choices—she’s it.
