Hello! My name is Sara Sheehan. I graduated from the University of Texas in 2018 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. As a queer person, I was still left feeling the need to do "more" for my community. In 2017 I found my passion for birth-work while looking for a sustainable occupation that would allow me to use my empathy skills to support my community. As it turns out, Doulas do just that! I'm a certified postpartum doula through Childbirth International, and a trained Full-Spectrum Doula through Doula Training International. Today my service as a Doula and my work as a painter have found a happy harmony in painting portraits of pregnancy, postpartum, and birth scenes.

I am Cassandra, a Doula and Birth Photographer. I am a mom of 4, wife to a military veteran and a native to Aurora Colorado. Growing up, I have only lived in one home until the year I met my husband. I began this doula journey after the birth of my son. Finding a birthing center that provided a doula was the most amazing experience I could have asked for. After that experience, I knew I wanted to be that strength and support for all other birthing people and military personnel. Beyond my ever-increasing passion for all things birth-related, I am a big fan of reading rom-coms, dragging my husband out on adventures with our three kids, extroverting (is that a word?) with friends, and generally enjoying this hectic and lovely life. Now on to why you’re here! After the birth of our first child, I realized there were some big gaps in the childbirth classes that we took. Before we became pregnant again, I was researching what we had missed and awoke a passion for childbirth and maternal care that has only deepened over the years. After our three kids were born, I became a Childbirth Educator in 2017 and a Birth Doula in 2018. I also delivered two babies as a gestational surrogate in 2019 and 2021. I love supporting families of all kinds, including (but not limited to) biological families, adoptive parents, LGBTQ+ parents, single parents, and surrogates and IPs.
