About me

Hello! My name is Sara Sheehan. I graduated from the University of Texas in 2018 with a Bachelor in Fine Arts. As a queer person, I was still left feeling the need to do "more" for my community. In 2017 I found my passion for birth-work while looking for a sustainable occupation that would allow me to use my empathy skills to support my community. As it turns out, Doulas do just that! I'm a certified postpartum doula through Childbirth International, and a trained Full-Spectrum Doula through Doula Training International. Today my service as a Doula and my work as a painter have found a happy harmony in painting portraits of pregnancy, postpartum, and birth scenes.

Service introduction

Full-Spectrum refers to the full-spectrum of human experience. I specialize in meeting you where you are at in your journey. As a Full-Spectrum doula, I can provide support during reproductive changes, birth, postpartum, and abortion. My job at any stage is to provide you with the expert support you need, and the resources you maybe didn't know you needed to get through whatever stage of transition you are facing. While the details can look different for everyone, our goal is simple. We want to maximize your time and energy while minimizing your stress-level, anxiety, and to-do lists. Every potential client receives a free one hour consultation where we get to know one another, and discuss your needs and expectations.
