Maternal health occupational therapy truly is a wraparound service to fill in gaps you see during your perinatal care experience. I provide support through home health visits, telehealth services, classes, and community groups. Some of my favorite things to work on with families includes infant feeding, co-sleeping, baby wearing education, strategies for co-regulation and emotional well-being, and building community. I’m starting some photography for birth as well! I will work with you to overcome any fears as well as help guide you in achieving your DREAM birth! hi, I’m a current active mother baby nurse and have been doing this job for 18 years now. I’ve realized I would like to care for newborns but not in the hospital setting. I am very clean and calm. as well as a very good communicator from all my years in the hospital. I value peace and harmony and hold the family in the highest esteem. I love nature and have lived here for over 30 years and have been married for over 30 years. My two children are 25 and 30 and my daughter who is 30 will be moving back home with her husband. I don’t have any grandchildren yet and my husband ran the local college farm for 20 years. I’m a closet artist and my house is filling up with beautiful art I have created over the last 10 years. My husband and I also love to garden and have lots of house plants and orchids.

Choosing Racine as my birth doula was an absolute game-changer. From the moment we met, her unwavering support and wealth of knowledge put me at ease. She provided invaluable education throughout my pregnancy, ensuring I felt confident and empowered as my due date approached. What truly set her apart was her dedication to building a supportive team around me, seamlessly coordinating with my partner and healthcare providers to create a holistic birthing experience. Racine’s presence during labor was a calming force, offering emotional and physical support every step of the way. Her expertise not only eased my anxieties but also enriched the entire birthing process, making it a deeply fulfilling journey. I cannot recommend her highly enough for her exceptional care and dedication. I also wanted to add that I was not a very happy pregnant woman during my pregnancy, and I had a lot going to going on in my marriage and work life. Racine didn't judge me and encouraged to to seek counseling and also referred me to a great postpartum doula who made my transition to motherhood a breeze. I can't say enough about Racine. She has a heart of gold and anyone who hires her would find that out quickly. Please hire her and you will not regret it. I wanted to add that since I couldn't come up with the money all at one time, she did put me on a payment plan and that was nice and comforting.

If it wasn’t for Tori helping me deliver I would of had a stressful delivering my baby boy. She made me feel comfortable while my mom was freaking out when it was time to give birth. I also freaked out when I saw 10 nurses in the room trying to flip me over while I couldn’t move, Tori calmed me down while I was Experiencing stress from everyone around me. She made my birth smooth as possible. Thank you! I highly recommend Tori if your looking for a doula. Very knowledgeable and helpful.

I was born and raised in Asheville, NC and am so proud to call this town my home. I have always had a passion for science and a specific fascination with the human body and its capabilities. In 2013, I graduated from AB-Tech with an associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology and in 2019, I graduated from Winston-Salem State University with a bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science. Having a doula with my third birth made such a difference in my experience that I wanted to shout it from the rooftops. I wanted to share my birth story with everyone I came into contact with and when I realized I could be that difference in other people's stories, I couldn't find doula training fast enough! In September of 2023 I became certified through ProDoula as a birth, postpartum and infant care doula with more to come! I am so excited to bring my support services to my community and create lasting relationships in the process.

Hello! My name is Zadah, I’m a mother of 2 from a small town in North Carolina. I’ve worked in healthcare for most of my adult life and I’ve noticed that as women, especially women of color, LGBTQIA+, and those of certain social status tend to be at higher risk of adverse birth experiences. We need advocates and other women to help support our path to better care. Did you know that 1 in 4 women experience symptoms of postpartum depression? They say it takes a village, but what about the women who don’t have a support system? I want to extend a hand and be the change that we as mothers deserve.

My goal as a birth worker is to hold space for women as they go through the sacred journey of pregnancy, while educating them on their natural ability to give birth. In addition to Placenta Encapsulation, I am also a Certified Birth Doula and Birth Photographer. I serve an hour radius of Toccoa, Georgia.
