I grew up hearing stories from ladies (and still do) who only remembered pain and feeling completely powerless during the birth of their children. How a women remembers her birth can greatly affect the rest of her life. Was it a traumatic experience or a beautiful one? What I’ve learned throughout my years of being a doula as well as a mother is labor does not have to be traumatizing.
