Shavonne has been a life long friend for years and when she became a birth doula I was so happy. When I found out I was pregnant I reached out to her with my excitement of the news. Fast forward to the night my mucus plug came out. I messaged her because it had been so long since I’d seen one, youngest is 16 years old, we started talking about the plug and the contractions which I started experiencing. Long story short, I was admitted within hours after the plug came out and later was on the table for an emergency c-section. Shavonne kept in contact with me asking me how it went and how was baby. Our conversation later focused on breast milk production and how to increase it. Shavonne is very knowledgeable in her field and put me at ease when it came to a lot of things.
