Hello! My name is Cate Jackson. I am currently 32 weeks with my first baby, it’s a girl, and I am so excited to be a mom. I am feeling both nervous and excited about giving birth. It is 100% my goal to have a natural birth. I am looking for the support of an understanding Doula that can help me feel more confident about going the natural route in a safe setting, whether that’s a hospital or at home, and if at a hospital can help me advocate for myself about the interventions hospital staff are trained to provide for births. I am trying my best to work on techniques like breathing and learning different positions to make natural birth manageable for my first time. My fear is the unknown of what to expect even though I’ve watched so many videos and listened to so many podcasts, I think every body is different. I want my birth experience to be as low intervention as possible, however having someone besides my partner to guide me through the intensity of it all would be a life saver. It would be my dream to be at a birthing center but i have not had any luck finding one that we would be able to afford, or insurance would cover. As well as not being able to find a midwife that we can afford, my options are limited. Thank you for reading this and considering me! I plan to give birth at Saint Francis Hospital down in Tulsa. I have Soonerselect (Oklahoma Complete Health). My plan is to avoid the epidural and be as mobile as I can during labor/birth. I am a Christian as well so someone who also shares the same beliefs would be wonderful! I want to use music, dim lighting, and have a calm environment during labor as well. First time mom, have thyroid nodule from the past that has been in remission till now - 9 weeks pregnant - but want to give birth the most natural and non-medicated way as possible. Interested in delayed cord clamp (more delayed than 1 minute) and no vaccines. So far, plan to give birth in a hospital or birthing center connected or next to a hospital. I was taking herbal supplements to regulate my menstrual cycle and relieve chronic migraines. Since finding out I'm pregnant I had to stop my herbal medicine. I'm back to suffering from migraines and extreme nausea. I'm seeking natural and organic prenatal care, and coaching for me and my support team. For my birthing process, I want natural, organic, and holistic care, this is a spiritual journey, and I don't think hospitals nor my apartment can accommodate. I would need a birthing center, with the option for water birth, in a dark and calm environment.

Hi there! I am planning to give birth at a hospital and have a very flexible birth plan. Doula care is covered in my insurance (BlueCross BlueShield CareNow) and that is where most of the budget is coming from. My main concern with my birth plan is that the baby and I are both safe and healthy. I do have some anxiety around birth and something going wrong, so emotional support is a must for me. My husband and I are first-time parents so I know that he would also like support as he will be my main support system. We do not plan on having any other visitors in the hospital.
