First pregnancy. Will be giving birth in hospital. Estimated budget of $1000-1500. Birth plan would be to stay as natural as possible, but not opposed to medical needs like an epidural if I decide I want one. Whether that be through breathing techniques, deferred sensation like a birth comb, water, etc. Want to avoid a C-section unless emergency demands it. Delayed cord clamp and immediate skin to skin as long as not an emergency. Want to try breastfeeding, and pumping, but not opposed to formula if needed.

I am currently planning to give birth at cdh. I’m not sure what an appropriate budget for a doula is so I guess I’m interested in rates. I’d hope to not go over a thousand dollars but like I said I don’t know what is appropriate. I’d like to give birth with the least amount of interventions possible. I will be doing a vbac labor, my first baby will be 2 and 2 months at the date of the delivery and was a cesarían because she was breech presenting.

We are extremely new to the whole process, and thus unsure what to expect. We do not have a birth plan, but would like to construct one. We plan for the delivery to take place at Silver Cross Hospital (1900 Silver Cross Blvd, New Lenox, IL 60451). I'm giving birth at Central Dupage Hospital. I learned today that my insurance plan covers doulas that are in-network, so ideally they would be in-network with BCBSIL. I don't know my birth plan, I would like help figuring that out.

Hi! This is my first pregnancy and delivery. I am planning to give birth at Advent Health’s UChicago at Hinsdale. I was looking for doula services that would be covered by my Medicaid’s BCBS Community health insurance. My hope is to have a vaginal delivery. I believe a doula can be my source of the much needed guidance, assistance, and strength I’ll require experiencing labor and delivery for the first time.
