Hello, I am looking for a doula to help during birth at a hospital. I would be delivering at Saint Francis and my current birth plan is natural unmedicated birth (this is mostly due to health concerns which I can discuss further)

Birthing hospital will be saint frances in Hartford CT. No set budget Birth plan: natural birth, low risk for C-section. Looking for someone message technique to help with contractions, breathing exercises, help me navigate my birth plan to hospital staff, etc

Just found out my wife is pregnant she is either 3 weeks or 7 weeks. First ultrasound is scheduled for June 1st. We are Catholic and are interested in learning about natural birthing practices. Want to learn about doulas midwives and how to have either a home birth or a natural hospital birth. Want to learn about how I can advocate for my wife so we don’t get vaccinations and unnecessary procedures. We live in CT and plan to contact with Hartford hospital for our care. I’m planning to give birth in a hospital because I feel most comfortable having medical support available. I definitely plan on getting an epidural for pain management, but I still want the experience to feel as calm and supported as possible. My budget is around $800–$1,500, depending on what’s included. I’m open to some flexibility if it’s a really good fit and includes prenatal and postpartum support. For my birth plan, I’m hoping for a smooth vaginal delivery, but I’m also realistic and open to whatever is safest for me and the baby. Since I plan on getting an epidural, I’d really like someone who can help me stay relaxed, guide me through the process, and support both me and my partner during labor. Communication is really important to me—I want to understand what’s happening and feel involved in decisions. After birth, I’d love immediate skin-to-skin contact and some guidance during those first few hours. Postpartum support would also be really helpful

Hi , I’m Marissa. I’m 25 years old and I’m due October 24th 2026. My husband and I are having a baby girl. I am interested having a doula through my Medicaid Insurance. I just really need the basics of just an extra advocate to be there in the hospital. I think it’s the smartest decision to have someone else besides my husband advocating for me if hospital gives me push back. I am planning to do an unmedicated birth , with free moving and switching positions. I believe if you are stressed and only allowed to be just on your back it doesn’t promote a smooth delivery. I really want to stick with my beliefs unless it’s a serious emergency . I want the experience to be as natural as possible unless it’s urgent.
