I am also currently certified through the National Certification Corporation (NCC) in Maternal Newborn Nursing, and as an Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant through the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBLCE). I have also held certifications as a Childbirth Educator, first through Best Educators Special Training (BEST) and then through the Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA). I have had the privilege of educating expectant families in the tri-parish area for over 30 years. My passion to help expectant couples navigate the journey of birth led me to become a certified Birth Doula through Doulas of North America (DONA), and to become a TOTS trained professional. Since becoming a Board Certified Lactation Consultant in 1997, I have worked throughout the region in both inpatient & outpatient settings. My compassion, drive, and enthusiasm have helped the new families I work with establish and achieve their feeding goals.
