My first birth experience was a c section due to breech positioning, thankfully the second time around I’ve gained so much knowledge and experience that I went on to have a successful breech VBAC homebirth. My name is Nastaran (or Nast for short). I was born in the Dominican Republic, grew up in Boston, and now reside in New Jersey. Hubby and I are gym owners. Our gym is unique because not only do we do individualized programming to help clients get out of pain and achieve their goals, but we also collaborate with many local practitioners. I'm also a trainer, doula and birth educator. I founded Birthing Strong because I was tired of the trauma, grieving, and regret my family, friends and clients were experiencing at the births of their children. Birthing Strong was born to help educate, encourage and empower mamas through birth education courses and fitness classes that involve actual rehabilitation, cardio, and strength and conditioning. It aims to take the BS out of birthing and help moms move safely and confidently in fitness and in life. When I'm not coaching in a gym or teaching a workshop at a studio, I'm outside coaching adults and youth alike on running/track and field! I enjoy a day at the beach and absolutely love food (and think it should be a love language) and our family has rescued a lot of cats and one dog...We just can't say no to helping animals!
