Hospital Birth. I dont know what Doulas cost. No birth plan yet
Birth doula, baystate springfield, MA, natural birth
I’m planning to give birth in a hospital because I feel most comfortable having medical support available. I definitely plan on getting an epidural for pain management, but I still want the experience to feel as calm and supported as possible. My budget is around $800–$1,500, depending on what’s included. I’m open to some flexibility if it’s a really good fit and includes prenatal and postpartum support. For my birth plan, I’m hoping for a smooth vaginal delivery, but I’m also realistic and open to whatever is safest for me and the baby. Since I plan on getting an epidural, I’d really like someone who can help me stay relaxed, guide me through the process, and support both me and my partner during labor. Communication is really important to me—I want to understand what’s happening and feel involved in decisions. After birth, I’d love immediate skin-to-skin contact and some guidance during those first few hours. Postpartum support would also be really helpful
I plan on giving birth In a hospital(Baystate) my Massheath (behealthy) pays for everything I plan on getting epidural and giving birth vbac and everything else not to sure about just want my doula to be understanding patient upfront honest etc…
UCONN Exploring budget Need help with birth plan Anthem
I plan to give birth at home with my midwife. I would like to find a birth & postpartum doula covered under Husky health. I’d like someone to help with pain relief and support during birth and then postpartum, some meals, light cleaning & just overall support for me.
Hello, I am looking for a doula to help during birth at a hospital. I would be delivering at Saint Francis and my current birth plan is natural unmedicated birth (this is mostly due to health concerns which I can discuss further)
Mother-to-be: Skye Renee Hinton Labor support: Elias Jamar Bell (husband, father-to-be), Maribel Hernandez (Mother in law) Rachel Jordan(Skye’s mother) Birth site: UMass Memorial Health - Harrington Hospital - Southbridge Campus My goal is to deliver my baby as safely and naturally as possible without medical interventions unless the benefits outweigh the risks. I plan to participate along with my husband and my care providers in making decisions about my labor, delivery and postpartum care. Listed below are my birth preferences; I understand that final decisions about my care will be discussed and agreed upon in the birthing room with my well-being and the safe delivery of my baby as the most important considerations. Birth Preferences Early labor and Preparation: ● Spontaneous labor and vaginal delivery ● Limited cervical checks ● No membrane sweep ● No IV ● No Induction Labor: ● No medications, pitocin, epidural, laughing gas, etc. ● No IV ● Use of electronic fetal monitor externally only for an initial 20 minute strip; after that, I would prefer intermittent Doppler monitoring ● Want to move freely, walk around, and labor in preferred positions ● Would like light foods and clear liquids, taken orally ● Little to no lights in the room ● Only my husband, mother, and doula in the room Delivery: ● Vaginal Delivery, No IV ● Labor position: whatever feels most comfortable at the time. No laying on my back. ● No episiotomy, No use of forceps ● I’ll push when I feel the urge ● Immediate skin to skin contact with blanket over mom and baby ● No rubbing the baby (unless obvious medical attention is necessary) ● Delayed cord clamping (Until cord stops pulsating) ● Mom or Dad will cut the cord ● 1+ Golden hour of baby with mother ● Weight + Measurements taken only after 1 hour Postpartum: ● Baby remains in the room with mom and dad throughout entire hospital stay ● Establish breastfeeding, no formula ● No bath for baby ● Leave hospital within 12 hours if baby + mom are healthy ● No vitamin K, No vaccines. Budget is $1,000 to $2,500 Contact info is Elias bell, 857-492-2453 Email: Eliasbell617@gmail.com
Just found out my wife is pregnant she is either 3 weeks or 7 weeks. First ultrasound is scheduled for June 1st. We are Catholic and are interested in learning about natural birthing practices. Want to learn about doulas midwives and how to have either a home birth or a natural hospital birth. Want to learn about how I can advocate for my wife so we don’t get vaccinations and unnecessary procedures. We live in CT and plan to contact with Hartford hospital for our care. I make just under 3k a month with rent at 1250 every month.
Birthing hospital will be saint frances in Hartford CT. No set budget Birth plan: natural birth, low risk for C-section. Looking for someone message technique to help with contractions, breathing exercises, help me navigate my birth plan to hospital staff, etc
I am early on in navigating my first pregnancy. I will be giving birth at UMass Memorial in Worcester, but I live in Charlton, MA. I am interested in having a birth doula and ideally the same candidate to help when we transition to home life for a few hours. I’m interested in having an unmediated birth, however I am aware that reality might have a different thought. Movement is a necessity for me. I have a wonderful partner, and would like to complement my support team with someone who can help me transition through labor stages as well as navigate the relationship between doctors/nurses.
I was working with a doula but she didn’t make a good fit and we had to leave a month before expected date. I will be birthing at Manchester Hospital, CT and would need to go through husky insurance
I need someone who can help me through an unmedicated birth in a hospital. I want to avoid the epidural at all costs.
I plan on giving birth at Umass Belmont. Planning on going through my insurance. I don't have a birth plan. I need someone to advocate for me during birth. My insurance is anthem blue cross blue shield
This is my first pregnancy, and because I am naturally a very anxious person, it is especially important to me to have a trusted support person in the delivery room who can help advocate for me. I want to ensure that my wishes are clearly communicated and respected throughout labor and delivery, as I may feel overwhelmed in the moment. Having someone act as my voice will help me feel more comfortable, supported, and confident, and will also help ensure that neither I nor my family feel overlooked during this experience. I will be giving birth at UMass Memorial and am covered by Mass General Brigham insurance, and I want to take proactive steps to make sure my care team understands and honors my needs.
This will be mine and my husband’s first child. We are looking for in person sessions to discuss my birth plan, mental preparation and postpartum care.
