My partner and I are both sick and struggling to take care of our baby. She was sick but has recovered. I don’t know if you do overnight shifts for babies recovering from or who have just recovered from illness, or in homes where people are sick, but in case you do, I’m reaching out to see if you might be able to do an overnight shift tonight, tomorrow night, or both so my partner and I can try to rest and recover.

I’m planning to give birth in a hospital because I feel most comfortable having medical support available. I definitely plan on getting an epidural for pain management, but I still want the experience to feel as calm and supported as possible. My budget is around $800–$1,500, depending on what’s included. I’m open to some flexibility if it’s a really good fit and includes prenatal and postpartum support. For my birth plan, I’m hoping for a smooth vaginal delivery, but I’m also realistic and open to whatever is safest for me and the baby. Since I plan on getting an epidural, I’d really like someone who can help me stay relaxed, guide me through the process, and support both me and my partner during labor. Communication is really important to me—I want to understand what’s happening and feel involved in decisions. After birth, I’d love immediate skin-to-skin contact and some guidance during those first few hours. Postpartum support would also be really helpful

My doctors have said I’m a great candidate for it. I plan on giving birth at Baystate in Springfield MA. I am have a lot of anxiety about my birth not only due to the last time but this time around there has been a lot of miss communication and I just don’t want to be worried about everyone being on the same page while trying to have a successful labor. While having an epidural isn’t out of the question or having other medical interventions isn’t out of the question I’d like to just let my body do its thing and labor naturally with alternative pain management methods. I honestly have zero idea what a doula even costs to even know what is reasonable, if it’s covered by insurance etc.

I am early on in navigating my first pregnancy. I will be giving birth at UMass Memorial in Worcester, but I live in Charlton, MA. I am interested in having a birth doula and ideally the same candidate to help when we transition to home life for a few hours. I’m interested in having an unmediated birth, however I am aware that reality might have a different thought. Movement is a necessity for me. I have a wonderful partner, and would like to complement my support team with someone who can help me transition through labor stages as well as navigate the relationship between doctors/nurses.

Have never had a doula before, but am a little worried my husband might be traveling for the birth! Looking for services to be completely covered by Tricare ideally. Birth plan is hoped to be similar to others - labor as long as I can and then get an epidural. Have not had a C-section and am not planning on it for this baby.
