I became a doula because I lived what you may be going through right now. As a mother of three, I know what it feels like to bring a baby into this world and need real support, someone to hold your hand, answer your questions at 2AM, sit with you through the hard moments, and celebrate the beautiful ones.
I watched mothers in my community especially Black mothers on Chicago's South Side go through pregnancy and birth without the support they deserved. I saw the fear. I saw the loneliness. I decided to be the person they needed.
At Bloom, I offer continuous birth support, postpartum recovery care, prenatal visits, newborn visit facilitation, and baby relief hours because YOU matter, not just the baby. I serve ALL families with warmth, cultural sensitivity, and zero judgment.

Do you accept Illinois Medicaid?
Yes! I am a State Certified Illinois Medicaid Doula (Cert. #0715260834). Many of my services are covered at no cost to qualifying Medicaid members. Contact me to confirm your eligibility before booking.
What areas do you serve?
I serve families across Chicago's North Side, South Side, and all of Illinois and surrounding areas. Travel fees may apply beyond 30 miles from Calumet Park.
What is the difference between a birth doula and a postpartum doula?
A birth doula supports you during labor and delivery. A postpartum doula comes to your home after baby arrives to support your recovery, newborn care, and emotional wellbeing. I offer both.
Are you available for overnight support?
Yes. I offer overnight postpartum support at $200 per night covering 8-10 hours. I handle all newborn care so you can sleep.

What certifications do you hold?
I hold DNT Network Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula, and Newborn Care Specialist certifications. I am also certified in CPR/BLS, HIPAA, Cultural Competency, and Trauma-Informed Care. I am a State Certified Illinois Medicaid Doula issued by SIU School of Medicine.
Do you support all types of births?
Absolutely. I support unmedicated births, epidural births, C-sections, VBACs, home births, and birth center births. I support all families regardless of background, religion, or family structure.
What if you are unavailable when I go into labor?
I maintain a backup doula arrangement to ensure you are never without support. Your care will always be covered.
Can I hire you for just postpartum support if I already delivered?
Yes. Postpartum doula support can begin at any point after birth. It is never too late to get the support you deserve.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes. I understand finances can be a barrier. Contact me directly to discuss a payment plan that works for your family. No mother should go without support because of finances.
