About me

"Hi, I'm Islamiyyah Jenmi-Lasisi, founder of Bloom Perinatal Services and a Certified Full Spectrum Birth and Postpartum Doula serving families across all of Illinois and beyond. HIPAA, cultural competency, trauma informed care, CPR/BLS Certified I became a doula because I lived what you may be going through right now. As a mother of three, I know what it feels like to bring a baby into this world and need real support, someone to hold your hand, answer your questions at 2AM, sit with you through the hard moments, and celebrate the beautiful ones. I watched mothers in my community especially Black mothers on Chicago's South Side go through pregnancy and birth without the support they deserved. I saw the fear. I saw the loneliness. I decided to be the person they needed. At Bloom, I offer continuous birth support, postpartum recovery care, prenatal visits, newborn visit facilitation, and baby relief hours because YOU matter, not just the baby. I serve ALL families with warmth, cultural sensitivity, and zero judgment. Illinois Medicaid will be accepted starting September. Private pay welcome. I come to you wherever you are. Care, Support, and Empowerment Every Step of the Way. 🌸
