Hi, I’m Courtney! I’m a NICU nurse, lactation consultant (IBCLC), and a newborn specialist. I have been helping women breastfeed their infants in the NICU and at home for 6 years.

Courtney has been there for me through two pregnancies, births, and newborns. Anyone who knows Courtney knows that she is super passionate about anything baby/motherhood related! This is not just a job for Courtney and you can tell she genuinely cares because in addition to her years of experience as a medical professional, she is constantly educating herself on the topic in her free time! She is a truly compassionating, kind, never judgemental wealth of knowledge and I don’t know what I would’ve done without her support and answering my questions in the middle of the night 😊

My own health challenges, including my diagnosis of premature ovarian failure, inspired me to focus on empowering others to feel informed, confident, and cared for during one of life’s most transformative experiences. As a doula, I combine my personal experiences with my professional background to provide holistic, compassionate care. I earned my Master’s in Food and Nutritional Science at Tuskegee University, which deepens my understanding of prenatal and postpartum health. When I think back on my birth and postpartum journey, Karmen Johnson’s name shines brightly as one of the most pivotal and comforting presences in my experience. From the very first moment we connected, Karmen exuded warmth, understanding, and a deep passion for her work. She immediately made me feel seen, heard, and supported in a way I didn’t even know I needed. As my doula, Karmen provided not just practical knowledge but also emotional reassurance that carried me through the most vulnerable and transformative moments of my life. She was there calmly guiding me, offering comfort measures, and reminding me of my own strength when I started being hard on myself about my healing journey. Her presence brought an indescribable sense of peace to both me and my partner, who also felt incredibly supported under her care. During The postpartum period (can feel overwhelming and isolating) she checked in regularly, offering both physical help and heartfelt emotional support. Whether it was helping me with breastfeeding challenges, reassuring me through moments of doubt, or simply being a listening ear during late-night talks, Karmen made me feel like I wasn’t alone. She became an integral part of our family’s story, and I can’t recommend her enough to any parent seeking someone who will walk beside them with grace, expertise, and a heart full of love. If you’re fortunate enough to work with Karmen, know that you’ll not only gain a doula but a lifelong advocate, cheerleader, and friend.

I am a certified Birth Doula servicing Madison, Limestone County and surrounding areas. It is my desire that every woman and their family receive the support they seek, to give birth without fear and making informed decisions for themselves and their children.

Doula Nancy is worth every penny we spent and more!!! The total package partnership services we received allowed my daughter-in-law to fully realize her ultimate desire of a natural delivery!! The bonus for me was how Nancy honored my ancestors nurturing, mother-exclusive, and healing traditions of pre and post childbirth. Nancy “held the line” as an active advocate in ensuring that my daughter -in-law’s birth plan was honored. She impressed our hospital medical team with her professional knowledge and partnering with the ups and downs during the delivery process. Finally, as a Haitian-American nurse who was blessed to have my son delivered by my late Nurse Midwife mother, I will vouch for Doula Nancy’s impeccable professionalism, clinical knowledge, and teaching skills to my daughter in preparation of her childbirth experience. I highly recommend Doula Nancy!!

Welcome! My name is Kendall Hampton. I am a Child Development Specialist, Early Interventionist, Parent Educator, and Certified Pediatric Sleep Consultant located in North Alabama, but provide virtual coaching to families all over. I founded Rested Families, LLC to help families to get the quality sleep they need for optimal health and well-being. Go from surviving to thriving! I support parents to build their child's skills and confidence to fall asleep on their own at bedtime and if they wake before morning. I collaborate with each family to help them create a personalized sleep plan that is loving, responsive, and effective. There is no need to resort to the cry-it-out sleep training method or suffer through sleep-deprivation waiting for your child to outgrow it. I advise parents on a variety of gradual and caring ways to teach independent sleep skills and support parents in implementing a plan that they are comfortable with and fits their parenting style and child’s temperament. Through coaching calls and daily text support, family's reach their sleep goals in just a few weeks. I work with parents of children of all ages and abilities and specialize in addressing sleep challenges associated with autism, sensory differences, challenging behaviors, separation anxiety, and nighttime fears. Let's work together to figure out the best course of action for your family. I’d love to support you in nurturing an independent sleeper and getting the rest your family needs to thrive!

Kendall helped us tremendously when it came to getting our third child to sleep. She worked with us to tailor a plan that perfectly fit our specific needs. It was easy to follow and before I knew it, he was sleeping through the night. I highly recommend new and/or seasoned parents reaching out for their child’s sleep needs.

After going through multiple pregnancy losses and receiving support from other women, I knew that I wanted to learn how to support women through labor and birth, both in the extreme highs and extreme lows of that journey. I was trained in 2018 and have been practicing ever since! My doula career began in San Antonio and is now continuing in middle Tennessee, where I live with my husband and 3 beautiful children. I truly see doula work as a calling and ministry. I am passionate about empowering and supporting women, and I would love to walk alongside you in your pregnancy and birth!
