Hey all! My name is Katie and I am a full spectrum doula. I work with all types of families for whatever their needs may be. I will be your biggest supporter, listener and advocate in all of your decisions. I cannot wait to meet you and be part of this chapter in your life!

I am a veteran of the United States Air Force, spouse of a military retiree, International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Certified Breastfeeding Specialist (CBS), and La Leche League Leader (LLLL). I completed Associate of Arts in General Studies and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degrees from American Military University. I am certified in BLS for the Provider and trained in AED use. My husband and I have seven children. It is because of them, that I am where I am today. I am not only educated on the birth process and utilizing comfort measures for pain relief, but also have personal experience. I had two births using epidural pain relief. Five of my births were medication-free. My breastfeeding journey with each of my children was different. Every journey was different because every baby was, and each had their own challenges. (The parent may know what they are doing, but the baby needs to learn.) My experiences with each of my children taught me many things about giving birth and human lactation throughout the years. Helping birthing and lactating parents meet their own goals is my goal. As a CBS, IBCLC, and doula, all of my education and experience will help me to provide families compassionate care throughout the birth process, postpartum period, and lactation journey.

There are moments in our lives that impact us for years and decades to come. Becoming a parent or welcoming a new little babe are those types of moments, as are the paths to conception and also the journey surrounding pregnancy loss. How we are treated during these seasons of life will and do have an impact on each one of us and often in different ways. My focus as a birthworker is to help you have a positive experience prenatally, during labor, birth, and postpartum. I provide gender-affirming perinatal support for pregnant people throughout the Wilmington area. I share fact-based information with clients so that they can make informed decisions about their care and that of their babe. I am passionate about every individual’s right to informed consent, informed refusal, and the options they have regarding every aspect of their care. Each pregnant person’s vision for their pregnancy, labor, birth, and transition to parenthood differs. No matter what your vision may be, as a childbirth educator and doula, I am there to unconditionally support you in your journey.

My name is Alise, and I am a dedicated birth and postpartum doula, as well as a passionate birth photographer! As a mother of two, I cherish the beautiful journey of motherhood and feel deeply honored to support women and families through these sacred moments. My heart is devoted to serving women and their families, providing compassionate care and guidance throughout the birthing process and postpartum period. Additionally, I am familiar with CPR and First Aid, ensuring the safety and bell-being of both mom and baby. Hi, I am Sharvon Smith I am a Herbalist and Doula residing in Kenansville NC I am a mother of 4 and a grandmother of 2. I love gardening and also traveling I am also an advocate for teenage mothers. I am 6 months into being a Doula and also a postpartum supporter . I became a Doula because I love being there to help mothers during their birth and to let them know they have help during their journey I am Currently in CAPPA training so shortly I'll be taking insurance for the clients.

Hello my name is Arlena Spruill also know as the Sapphire Doula. I am a DONA International Birth Doula. I believe that providing doula services to expecting families is not a want but a necessity. I have been a doula for a year and a half and have serviced 15 families. I hope to service many more and hope to grow awareness and acceptance of doulas in all birth spaces. I am mother of 2 beautiful children both were vaginal births. One was an encaul birth that my husband had the honor of catching her with the midwife's assistance which was so beautiful. Because of my two births and having my late mother present at all of them providing what I didn't know at the time was Doula support. I decided that I needed to do the same for other mothers and that began my journey to becoming a doula.
