Planning to give birth at SSM's Saint Mary Hospital in Jefferson City, Missouri. Budget for a doula is about $800. Birth plan: as low intervention as possible as long as no complications. Desire to birth calmly and without feeling pressured to do anything (as long as baby and I am in a good state). Have been reading and doing affirmations re hypnobirthing. Would like to use any and all methods available for comfortable experience. This is my first pregnancy.

I’m also open to discussing other options that may help support the type of birth I’m hoping for. I'm not sure on budget as of now. Open to discussion.

Hello! My name is Halee! This is my first pregnancy and I am hoping and praying for support through the process. I plan to give birth at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis MO. However, I live in Rolla MO. I have Missouri Medicaid, so I need someone compliant with that program. I am a christian and my faith is extremely important to my husband and I. This pregnancy is a miracle. We want to honor God in every aspect. I would love to have a fellow Christian with us. My birth plan is to be as natural as possible. I want to keep things calm, as relaxed as possible, and hopefully enjoy the experience. I hope to deliver vaginally, not have a C-section, however I know sometimes you cannot avoid it. My case is a bit medically complex. I have a bleeding disorder that puts me at higher risk for hemorrhaging, but my doctors all know about this. I am being followed by a high risk MFM who is closely collaborating with my hematologist. This is why I am delivering in St. Louis. We have a plan to prevent this and manage the bleeding. This is another huge reason why I want a doula at birth, I dont want to be rushed or feared into making decisions. Normally, I am really great at self-advocating and critically thinking. But I know I will probably need someone who is thinking clearly to help make decisions. I have never given birth before. I would like someone who has a bit of experience, but I am open to any experience level to find the right fit. An overnight Doula would be phenomenal!!! It would be such a blessing to receive help with cleaning, laundry, caring for baby, so we could get a full nights rest. Thank you for considering me!
