About me

At Lactating Essentials, I provide services to help parents with all their breastfeeding and postpartum needs. Breastfeeding is natural, but not always easy. I hope to make this new chapter in your life as easy and stress free as possible. I am an IBCLC, International board-certified lactation consultant. I am very passionate about helping others reach their breastfeeding goals because of the struggles I have faced with my own children. I have two little girls, and ever since I had my first, I became very interested in protecting their health the best I can. I love discussing the benefits of breastfeeding for babies and parents so feel free to ask me anything. I would love to help you with your journey.

I’m Jessica Austin, IBCLC, and mom of two. I am passionate about breastfeeding and helping new parents reach their feeding goals and overcome the obstacles they may encounter during their journey. I would love to help you and your family. I have many hours of education based specifically on lactation, as well experience with helping breastfeeding families, and four years of my personal breastfeeding journeys with my two children (which definitely did not come without its struggles). I can say with confidence that I am skilled in may advanced breastfeeding struggles, including; tongue ties, breast refusal, low milk supply, poor weight gain, and latching difficulties.
