I’m new to having a midwife, my last baby was born in a hospital. I’m interested in receiving all prenatal care at home and possibly even giving birth at home. I don’t really have a plan yet, I just want to know more, including costs.

We need a post partum doula as well lactation consultation and practice and improvement on sleeping patterns.

My partner is pregnant with a little girl due June 19 - we are planning to go to Owensboro for the birth, we live in Muhlenberg County (Beechmont). This is our first child, we don't have much of a birth plan. We both have very supportive and experienced family members/support system so I've leaned on them a lot for information. I need someone that will be able to help with any issues or concerns that I might have throughout my pregnancy. I’ve had a rough first trimester, so I definitely want more support from now on. I had a miscarriage a few months ago, so I tend to feel anxious about any symptoms that I don’t feel or think are normal. I will have a lot of questions and concerns that I need answers to in a timely manner, so someone that I can easily contact is essential. Ideally we need someone that will be able to help through pregnancy and for at least the first month of postpartum. We plan on giving birth at a hospital, but want it to be a natural birth if possible, so having someone that can advocate for my needs during both pregnancy and labor is also important.

Not sure. It is third c section, won’t be labor but will be surgery recovery. No birth plan, had traumatic prior c sections . Not breastfeeding due to two prior breast tissue surgeries. Just needing extra support to be able to heal. I am advanced maternal age. Struggled at night with prior babies.

Hi, we're international intended parents from China, with a gestational carrier (surrogate) and planning to give birth at University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. This is our first baby. Our surrogate’s estimated due date is April 25, and she has shared that her previous two pregnancies both went past their due dates, so we are preparing for some flexibility around timing. We plan to stay in the United States for approximately two months postpartum, and we are primarily seeking daytime postpartum doula support, with the possibility of occasional overnight support if available. I am interested in a home birth/Natural birth. My partner and I left our previous Provider in southern pines for concerns of "Modern Birthing Practices" and not supporting our decision for a home or natural birth, also we wanted to keep ultrasounds and doppler to a minimum and they highly disliked that. we have received 2 ultrasounds so far and genetic testing, and they bragged that everything looked great with the baby. I plan to deliver at a hospital. I need a doula for support through the labor & delivery process as well as advocacy. I plan to have a medicated birth (epidural), if possible & a vaginal delivery. This is my 3rd pregnancy (1st one ended in stillbirth) & I am currently being monitored for a large baby & advanced maternal age. I am unsure what the costs of a doula are but I plan to use my insurance.
