About me

A native of Seaside, Kaleena returned home to the Peninsula in 2018 after a long and prestigious career of professional dance in the Bay Area. Upon hanging up her pointe shoes, Kaleena was invited to join the esteemed San Francisco GYROTONIC® where she studied under some of the world's foremost teachers and shared that knowledge with clients of all ages and physical capabilities. It was after the ecstatic home births of both of her children that Kaleena furthered her curiosity into Birth and the depths of Pre and Post Natal movement studies. As a Certified Birth Doula and Childbirth Educator, Kaleena is passionate about sharing all she knows about movement and birth with her clients. With the Pre and Post Natal Applications of The Gyrotonic® Method movers can enhance their understanding of their pelvic floor anatomy and function, create space in their ever-changing bodies, understand birth biomechanics to encourage optimal fetal positioning, develop strength where needed, and learn how to create an elasticity that helps them move through their pregnancy and postpartum with strength and grace. In her free time, Kaleena loves spending time with her family outside exploring all the beauty the Central Coast has to offer. I Want it All!

As part of our work together, we will use The Gyrotonic® Method as a means of movement and exercise to prepare your body for labor, birth, and the postpartum period, as well as help encourage optimal fetal positioning. Movement is vital to your health and comfort during your pregnancy. I aim to provide you the knowledge and skills to achieve awareness of your pelvic floor as well as your whole body. The goal is to create an “elasticity” that includes having tone to recover with awareness, and also a suppleness to open when it comes time to push your baby out. In the Post Partum Period, in addition to basic support with breastfeeding and compassionate care of you and your baby, I am excited to revisit some of the cues we established during your prenatal training sessions. Based on the recommendation and support of your medical care provider, and based on the type of birth you had (vaginal or cesarean section) we will start with basic breathing and awakening exercises. I hope to help introduce you to your new and amazing body! My "I Want it All" Package includes 10- PreNatal Gyrotonic® Sessions, full Doula Services, and 5- in home Postpartum Sessions. *subject to availability and location

Traditional Doula Services

2 Prenatal Appointments- birth plan preparation, education where it’s needed, comfort measures, emotional support, postpartum planning, community resources, etc. phone/email/text support during your pregnancy and early postpartum on call status 24/7 at 37 weeks, continuous labor support, and 1-3 hrs of support after the birth 1 postpartum visit to your home

Consulation Package

Perhaps you have questions, are in search of a childbirth education curriculum, would love some resources, or just want someone else to help “fill in the holes” but don’t necessarily want a Doula to attend your birth? Maybe you’d like to try a few sessions of The Gyrotonic® Method to see what it’s all about? My Consultation Package might fulfill your needs! Individually tailored to your desires, our time together includes 5 virtual hours PLUS one home visit for in-person comfort measures education. Hopefully, by the end of our time together you’ll feel prepared and ready to greet your birth experience with confidence and grace.
