Kelsi is looking for Newborn Care Specialist, Birth Doula
Location: Portland, OR 97267, USA
Due date or baby's birthday: May 31, 2026
Someone to help guide me through child birth / make my parter a better birth partner, the first time I had a cesarean and I think it could have been avoided had I not had intervention as early as I did, had better support and had someone who advocated for me when I was unable to advocate for myself. I will give birth at the hospital and I am not sure what I should expect for a budget for a doula. I can’t afford a lot, I guess $1000? My birth plan is to have a vbac. That’s it. I gained a lot of weight last time, had a botched epidural that made me numb from the chest down, went into Dcel, had a second epidural that barely did anything, pushed for 2 hours and then had a centimeter of cervix in the way to which they gave me pitocin (which sucked ass) and then labored all night to 9am for them to tell me there was some change and they could wait another 45 minutes to see if I was ready to push but I was so exhausted at that point that I couldn’t imagine pushing again and opted for a cesarean

Hospital Birth and would like a birth doula. Budget is flexible Rough birth plan - Light-Medium pain management (whatever that means), Limited intervention where possible (basically need someone to tell medical staff I don't want constant checks and to have someone to advocate for me/layout my options if more intervention is suggested by medical staff). When presented options by medical staff, I need a professional to layout additional options and solutions. I like to have all the information and possible solutions.

I’m looking for a double who can be there for me and my partner during our daughter’s birth in February! I will be giving birth in hillsboro at hillsboro medical center, and after having my miscarriage in january i’m very nervous. I suffer from anxiety already, so having someone who knows what they’re talking about and can be a cheerleader for me is very important! I want someone who can also help teach my partner how to best assist me! I have OHP+ so need someone who is willing to take that insurance! I plan on having an unmedicated birth, and while i know im strong and can do it, its going to be hard and i need someone who can coach me through the discomfort so i dont spiral!

1.Hospital birth 2. I'm willing to pay 1500-2500 dollars 3. I am a first time mother. I have seen several of my friends get an epidural and things take an unexpected turn ending in C sections or worse still 4th degree tears. My hope is to have an unmedicated birth, but if labor were to prolong or pain becomes unbearable, would like to see other options as is fit and would like a doula who can advocate

I am hoping to have a TOLAC after a failed induction/emergency c-section with my first). I feel like I was given an inadequate chance to have a proper birth and things could’ve been done differently if I had someone to voice for me. I’m hoping most everything is covered under insurance, otherwise I have no budget in place.
