My first newborn baby boy is almost 3 weeks old. My husband and I would like to hire a postpartum doula to help us learn to take care of him better. Specifically, I would like some help with the following:  1) Breastfeeding - improve his latch (almost exclusively breastfeeding right now), help me try out some other positions like laid-back or side-lying (currently mostly doing cradle hold)  2) Gas Management - seems to be very gassy (potentially due to shallow latch or him guzzling milk too quickly) 3) Soothing - learn to put him to sleep more easily, especially during the day 4) Pumping - I do pump once a day when my husband does a bottle feed but I can't get the parts arranged well enough so I have to hold the pump parts and do 1 breast at a time (I have a spectra S1).  5) Other general tips - like how to swaddle best, how to clean his nose, how to get him to not hate the bath, etc. 

Birthing at Swedish First Hill and looking for a birth doula first then postpartum for at least a week or two. Queer couple looking for LGBTQ+ friendly partner. Birthing parent is 40+, partner is nonbinary and has medical anxiety so we’re looking for someone grounded and calming - without being too “woo woo.” Planning to deliver naturally but may do C section if there are complications. She's just 1 week old, and we're navigating these early days of parenthood together! We're looking for someone to work 3-4 weeknights per week, with a flexible start date around February 23, 2026. The evening would begin around 9:00 PM when you'd arrive to help us with the bedtime routine – feeding our little one and getting her settled down for sleep. Throughout the night, your role would be to bring Diana to mom for breastfeeding, then take over to burp her, change her diaper, and gently soothe her back to sleep. Looking for a night nanny to come a few times within the first week baby is born, to start. Not sure what budget is, will see what caregivers are able to provide first.

Interested in one night a week having a night nurse handle feedings with our son so we can get restful dleep once a week. His longest stretch has been 4 hours and then from about 3am onward they are 1-2 hour stretches. Would be seeking support between 8pm - 8am but we can be flexible on timing and length.
