Hello, I’m looking into learning more about helping my 19mo sleep through the night. We wrestled through the first year of life with bad sleep and used cosleeping to survive. Then around 12 mo he started sleeping through the night, almost consistently. Now, we’ve lost our way since a series of colds, ear infections, molars, regressions, etc..

I am interested in a home birth/Natural birth. My partner and I left our previous Provider in southern pines for concerns of "Modern Birthing Practices" and not supporting our decision for a home or natural birth, also we wanted to keep ultrasounds and doppler to a minimum and they highly disliked that. we have received 2 ultrasounds so far and genetic testing, and they bragged that everything looked great with the baby. So far no health concerns or high-risk pregnancy, so we feel great about a home birth. We are looking for a Midwife and doula in the area.

I will be having a c section and my 5 year old is on the spectrum. My husband seems to think I'll be "better after a week" and my 13 year old is totally disinterested. I'm concerned about the transition of having a new baby, my healing properly (as I'm 38 this go around), and breastfeeding (which I've not been able to do the 1st 2 times), all while having everyone in the house asking me for food all the time because boys are always hungry. Me and my husband planned on having a home birth with absolute no medications or epidurals. I want a complete natural birth, I would prefer for the midwife to be in the close to our area since we are located in Gastonia. Because this is my first pregnancy my budget isn’t really a specific number, I just need someone experienced and hopefully a midwife of color if it’s possible.

My husband is very involved but we would like someone educated in helping us navigate birth and advocating alongside us.
